hello and question

Hi! I am new to this board (usually use the Pittsburgh board, but I was looking around and found this one and I'm all about talking to other Christians, so yay!) Hope everyone's wedding plans are going well. Here is my question:

Does anyone have any suggestions for a first dance song that is about the love between two people but also about the love of God/Jesus? I got many ideas from google, websites, etc. but can't seem to find exactly what I'm looking for. Every song I find seems to be either just about what Jesus has done for us or just about loving another person- can't seem to find a song that has both! I found one I really liked but one line in it bothered me and so now I am thinking I may not want to use that song. Any ideas/suggestions would be awesome! Thanks!

I love the song called Love Never Fails by Brandon Heath. The song called When God Made You by Newsong is also really nice.

Welcome to the board! When is your wedding?
These are the songs we are considering for our first dance:
God Gave Me You- Dave Barnes
Light of Day- Jimmy Needham
Love Is Not a Fight- Warren Barfield

We're using "Love Never Fails" as JoyMatt mentioned in the ceremony, and we're also using "When I Say I Do" by Matthew West, which would both be on the First Dance list if we weren't already using them. Love Never Fails, I second that!!! I absolutely positively love love love love LOVE that song. We would use it for our first dance, but the only reason I had even heard that song was my cousin and her husband did it for their first dance in the spring. So I don't want to copy. Luckily after meeting with my DJ last week he says that he does a second slow dance just for us right after the cake cutting, so we may use it for then. There is also "When I Say I Do" by Matthew West.

I also thought of "Love Never Fails". I've seen him in concert twice in the past few months and then I heard the song on the radio today. I just love the song. He sang the song in Carrie Underwood's wedding. Apparently she loved it too. I wish the song had been out before we got married.

JoyMatt- We are having When God Made You sung at our ceremony. I love that song! And I like Love Never Fails a lot too (it's actually on my list of songs to be played maybe at dinner), It's just not exactly what I had in mind for the first dance.

fpaemp and rachelea- When I Say I Do is actually the song we had chosen for our first dance song (I love it!), but there's just one line in it that bothers me. It says, "There must be a God, I believe it's true, and I see his face when I look at you." I know I'm probably being too picky, but I'm kind of like, "Well yea, of course there's a God." Like it almost seems like he was doubting it at first. I know, I'm most likely being ridiculous haha.

Oh, and my wedding is on July 8th, 2011 (I know I still have a lot of time). I'm excited! You girls are awesome with all of your help and congrats! Thanks so much!

I like when God made you by newsong.
You can try to check out some Steven Curtis Chapman songs too.
I also remember hearing a song on youtube the other day, I think it was called God gave you to me, but I don't know who sings it.
