Alterations NIGHTMARE!

Okay...

So I'm a bride who has lost about 30 pounds since I bought my dress.

Because of the style of my dress (the link is below) it has been a nightmare to alter.

I've managed to have the waist and below altered flawlessly, but because the dress is so big the top still looks a mess. I've been to Town and Country over 5 times and the straps are still too wide, the cup area is too large, and the straps gape. I REFUSE to settle for an ill-fitting dress.

What should I do??? Any suggestions for a seamstress?

Same thing happen to me with my dress.  After being at the bridal store 4 times I got the dress home and went to Baton Rouge.  Danny from the Golden Needle is amazing.  He ripped the dress open and fixed in one fitting  (he so good he only needs one fitting).  He knows his stuff and his work is impeccable.  Seriously, the drive sucks but its worth it.  He does 60 wedding dress a month so call ahead.

Alterations are just an art and not a science, also you need a lot of luck.  Seems some places are great and some who are great are not.  What I mean that for some people it is an easy thing and for others not.  There is not an "alterations computer" and I wish there were.
