Hi Everyone! Happy Monday (except not really, Mondays suck!) To get ourselves through the soul-crushing thing that is the beginning a workweek, I thought we could share stories that will make us smile.

So, tell us the story of your and your BF's/FI's/H's/FF's (sorry, I couldn't help it) first kiss. Where did it happen? How did it happen? Who initiated it? Was it good? Details!

I'll start.

BF and I were friends for a few months before we started dating. I really didn't want a relationship at the time. Well eventually, our platonic relationship turned into a very flirtatious friendship.

One day after our classes were over, I brought him back to my apartment to hang out. I had an interview coming up and I wanted a guy's opinion on my outfit. Well, we were in my room and BF was laying on my bed...seemingly in disbelief that I'd brought him over to ask him about clothes. Once I'd settled on an outfit, I sat on the bed next to him. We then proceeded to have a very nice snuggling session.

As we were snuggling, BF's face SLOWLY got closer and closer to mine. Eventually, our faces were so close that I knew he was going to kiss me. Well, BF was very slow, but deliberate about it...he literally must've moved one CENTIMETER at a time. When our lips met, it was just the sweetest little kiss. No tongue or open mouth or anything like that, just a really nice kiss.

After we kissed a few times, I excused myself to the bathroom (which I later found out terrified BF because he thought this meant I didn't like him back.) When I came back, we had our first make out sesh.

I first kissed BF when we were still "friends." I had come over to his house to watch one of my crazy, dark movies (I actually believed at the time that BF was interested in those sort of movies - he told me later on that he just wanted to have something to talk about with me. Sneaky). After the movie, we were just hanging out in his living room, laughing and talking. I remember I was standing and he was sitting on the couch. All of a sudden, he said, "I really want to kiss you right now." I was totally taken aback, but also intrigued by his forwardness. So I sat down on the couch next to him, and we kissed. But remember, we were both 16, so he kind of rammed his tongue down my throat and left me gasping for air. It was totally weird. When I got home, I was IMing with a mutual friend (who we met through, in fact) and said, "I, um, made out with R today." And she goes, "NO WAY! How was it?" And I said, "It was like he was performing a tonsilectomy!"

Needless to say, his kisses are much improved.

A couple weeks before Fi and i started dating, we had been talking about cars (yeah, I'm a car freak. I saw a Lamborgini Gallardo in my office parking lot and almost lost it.)

My favorite is a Lambo Gallardo, and he asked (jokingly) what I'd do if he gave me one. I said a kiss- cause those cars are worth over 180 grand. On our third date he said he had a surprise and handed me a box. Inside was a die-cast wind up Gallardo.

I've mentioned before, I'm a diehard romantic. I'm not talking rooms full of flowers and all that, for me, it's the little things that make me happy (ie when BF does my dishes without being asked or he brings me a piece of dark chocolate, my fav, or even Mr. Jeana bringing her the pots & pans, so romantic!) Ok, back to the topic at hand.

Our 1st kiss was at the end of our 1st date. We had gone to the Bellagio to walk around in the atrium and watch the fountain show. We had been walking next to each other and it was really crowded. I had been thinking to myself when is he going to hold my hand and all of a sudden he reached out and grabbed my hand and said he didn't want to lose me with a huge grin on his face. When we got back to my house, he was such a gentleman and walked me to my front door. We stood on my porch talking for a half hour or so, still holding hands. We were both so nervous, you'd have thought we were teenagers. He just bent down really quick and kissed me and it was the sweetest thing ever.

We weren't dating yet- we were on a trip to Amsterdam and Paris with mutual friends for a music festiva. We had been flirting with each other the whole trip, and one night he bought me a rose at dinner from a vendor walking around the restaurant. As we were walking out I went to give him a kiss on the cheek as a thank you, but as I leaned in he turned around and I kissed him right on the lips. I tried to play it off like I totally meant to do that hahaha. After that we all went out for a few drinks before our friends (who all noticed the heavy flirting over the last week) all decided to go back to the hotel and leave us alone. We had a lovely evening, and later on had our first REAL kiss

we had our first kiss while watching Spongebob on our first date. LOL. odd, i know. on our date, he told me that he loved Spongebob and I was teasing him about it, so he made me watch a few episodes to show me how "awesome" that show is. we ended up cuddling on the couch and ended up kissing. it was kind of cute tho

gotta love a grown man who loves Spongebob. LOL

I ducked when he tried to kiss me. Yep, that's right!

We had spend the whole night playing Monopoly, getting really flirty, but I kept turning my head away so that we wouldn't end up kissing. He was just such a great friend, and he was not long out of a serious relationship, and we were going to be colleagues (I had gotten a job at his company after he passed my resume on). We finally were laying on the floor on our backs talking at 4am, and he leaned over and tried to kiss me. I ducked, he ended up in my shoulder, and I told him, "There's 95 reasons we should just stay friends." I don't know where I got that number, but it's what I blurted out. He said, very calmly, "Okay, name them." I got to three (see above) and couldn't think of any more, with the last being, "We're really good friends" when I realized they were rather stupid reasons. So I said, "Screw it" and leaned over and kissed him. We've been together ever since!

One year later, I wrote him a list of 95 reasons why I loved him. He keeps it in his box of "special things" (where he keeps a piece of his baby blanket, his Dad's purple heart metal, the tassel from graduation).

We met online so on May 20th 2009 was our first irl meeting. He told me He would be at the airport but ran into traffic coming into Oakland. I told Him I understood and it was fine. I waited nervously by the sliding glass doors , looking around and back and forth not wanting to miss Him. I took another sweep left and right and then I looked up and there He was just grinning and smiling at me. I composed myself and came running at Him and just held Him close to me. He put His hand under my chin and lifted my face to meet His and kissed me deeply right there at the airport. It's a feeling I will never forget.

am i the only one who kissed him, instead of him kissing me?

i knew he liked me, but i also knew he was crazy shy. we were at Tim Horton's with a friend about to leave, when i hopped out of the car and walked over to his truck. i told him i'd regret not doing this if i didn't do it, so i leaned in and kissed him. and he kissed back. yayyyyyyyyy

as i was walking back to my car, my friend waved at my BF through the window. we thought he'd been creeping on us the whole time, until we found out later he didn't even know we'd kissed at all haha. he thought we were just saying goodnight

we started dating a couple weeks after that. but basically, i jumped all over that.

hmmm... we have 2 "first kiss" situations LoL

our first official kiss was on a night we were hanging out and watching movies in his basement before we officially became a couple. we were sitting on the couch after the movie was over talking about a lot of life stuff and I was balling my eyes out because we were on a very sensitive subject... he was being very sweet and supportive, then out of nowhere he just leaned in and kissed me on the lips. i really didn't register what he was doing until after he pulled away. it was such a sweet gesture, but totally unexpected.

the second "first kiss" was when we wen ton our first official date together. it was like 11pm and we were sitting on a bench swing in one of our favorite parks... he put his arm around my shoulder, so I kind of slid down so I could lay my head on his chest in the crook of his arm. we just sat like that talking for a little bit. then he tilted my face up to look at him and he leaned down to kiss me... it was the most amazing feeling in the world. my head was spinning and my heart was fluttering. I was super sad when he pulled away because I never wanted that kiss to end... it felt like heaven.

Our first kiss was his first kiss with anyone. We were hanging out in his dorm room, lying on his bed talking and it was about a month after we had started dating. I guess I was kind of leaning over him because I was gonna get up to go back to my room because it was late and then he just pulled me in and kissed me. It wasn't super romantic or anything but I still get butterflies when I think about it...for us it was pretty much perfect

Our first kiss was also when we finally decided that yeah, we should date.

We had been friends for two years, housemates for about 1.5, and essentially acting like we were already dating for the entire time we lived together. We had this game where I would grab onto him or steal something of his, and if he wanted it back/me to let go, he had to tell me he loved me (yeah...I totally didn't have a deeply repressed crush on him AT ALL />_>).

So one night before we were supposed to go to Fanime the next day, I was hugging him in front of his bedroom and played the game. I made him tell me he loved me, and when he did I looked him square in the eye and told him, "Prove it."

So he gave me the world's fastest peck on the lips, turned beet red, and dashed for his room. He was smooooth.

Mine was similar to this. It was Dave Matthews weekend, there was a big party at his house, I went over, we hung out at a bonfire with 30 other people, drank a lot of wine, and I kissed him. Wah wahhhhh.

Our first date was the first time we met IRL. On our second date, he dropped me off at home, but overshot my place, so I hopped out of the car while he kept it running. After our third date, he parked the car and asked if he could walk me to the door. As I was searching for my keys, he says "I have been dying to kiss you, but we are both still sick." ( We were both at the end of a cold-like thing).

I said "We're not that sick!" and turned around, ready for the kiss
