Since I moved here, my skin has been a complete wreck. I'm breaking out, and it will NOT go away. I havent ever really had this problem, and the usual stuff I was my face with is not helping at ALL. I'm going insane, and I hate the way i look right now. I'm pretty sure it's the humidity here thats making my skin freak. =/
What do you use on your skin to keep it under control?
Re: Skin care question
[QUOTE]I havent worn makeup since my honeymoon. I was allergic to the new foundation I bought, and my skin was a mess. So I havent really worn anyting at all since then. I want SOMETHING to cover my skin right now, but I'm wary of trying something new. I feel gross, and sometimes, I dont want to go out because I'm feeling ugly. I'm hoping I can find a cleanser or something to help clear up my skin.

This.
Some mornings while doing my makeup I just want to scrub it all off and go back to bed. It doesnt help that my drive home melts it all off and I look like a hot mess when I get home.

Roxy, thats awful.
Im sorry.
Petra - I'm pretty sure its acne instead of anything else. If its doesnt clear up soon, maybe I'll see a derm about it.
[QUOTE]Mmm, Its gotten worse since I've lived here but I've been here almost 3 years now. It had been getting better for may and june since the week before my trip to NC in July it got bad again and has just gotten worse. Its definitely not excema. Its cystic

How long have you been using Bare Minerals for? I've read in a couple articles that because it's so finely milled it can get into pores (or something, not exactly sure) and cause cystic acne. Maybe that's it?
[QUOTE]wish I knew. Bareminerals did help immensely but its awful again. I don't think anything can make me feel as bad as bad skin, even with makeup you can still see itand I feel ugly as hell w/o makeup

Are you washing your brushes on a regualr basis? I find if my skin starts breaking out bad and I think about it, I'll realize its been a few weeks since I washed them. So I do and it almost immediately starts to clear up.
"Whatever East. You're just mad I RSVP'd "lame" to your pre-wedding sleepover."
After going to dermatologists for years, and having them prescribe numerous creams and gels and washes that worked for maybe a month and then were ineffective, I ended up making up my own skin care regimen that works AMAZINGLY when I actually stick to it. Here's what works for me-- keep in mind, I have an oily T-zone and get breakouts mainly on my chin and jawline.
1. Use an exfoliating face wash in the morning; one's that meant for daily use.
2. Use a skin-safe foundation, like Neutrogena or the CoverGirl "clean" line.
3. At night, use a normal clarifying wash, again like the simple Neutrogena facial wash, then follow it with a Stridex pad.
4. Most importantly, do not use any overnight creams. Your skin needs a good amount of time to breathe with absolutely nothing on it, and sleep-time is a good time for that.
Sorry to write sooo much. I just feel your pain, lol.
I don't know how long it's been since you moved but sometimes It takes a while for your skin to get used to different environments. If it's only been a month I would give it some more time. If it has been going on for months then I would suggest seeing a dermatologist and maybe they can recommend something. Goodluck!
Mand- Hahaha no need to be a reg. to dole out advice
I did go to the derm back in march ish and she gave me antibiotics that helped some but not a lot. I need to go back but its spendy and I'm broke...
Thats EXACTLY where I'm breaking out right now, my jawline. I'm going to try the things you suggested. Hopefully it works as well for me as it does for you!
Also, since that is where you're breaking out, I heard something about the reason for your breakout based on where the breakout is occurring.
If your acne is mainly on your jawline, one of the major contributors is stress.
If it's on your cheeks and nose, it's mostly your diet.
And if it's on your T-zone, that's almost primarily hormones.
So de-stress, lady!

I'll try to de-stress

I need to get a handsfree.
Proactiv did nothing for me, it seriously sucked. Nuetrogena skin Id worked pretty well though.
