SA Wednesday!

I am thinking about taking my dog to a new vet. We are using Banfield and he had a dental monday, but I don't appriciate the way the nurse talked to me on the phone. She basically told me that because we weren't doing any teeth cleaning at home, that it's my fault his teeth are so bad. (He is a rescue dog,we found him in the parking lot at FI's old apartments and no one wanted him back, and he had an enlarged heart we had to stabilize before we could even think about the dental..and his teeth were already terrible). Not only did she make me feel guilty, but I just got an uneasy feeling about one of the products she sold me, because she had called earlier in the day trying to sell it to me and I told her we'd be okay...so now I'm thinking maybe it was about the money...

Any suggestions for vets or similar experiences?

I just can't shake this feeling and idk why.

Where do you live? We use a vet in Plano who we really like! Her name is Dr. Hanks and her clinic is Hank's Animal Hospital.

We use Dr. Benjamin at Ohio Drive animal hospital. I think they're in plano...it's right off of GB. We really like him, he helped with our rescue, and when it came down to heart worm treatment he didn't try to add in extra things like xrays because he said since she's so young she didn't need them. Made me more comfortable knowing he isn't trying to just suck money out of us.

I'm sick also! I spent 4 hours in the bathroom last night throwing up. I also think it might have been bad food but not sure since I'm the only one that got sick and DH and I have been eating the same things. I'm at work right now because we are super busy but i'm feeling miserable. I'm living on Gatorade and saltines plus pepto. Not a good feeling. I'm not sure I'm doing much good here but at least I can say I came in! I'm going on only 2 hours of sleep though and running to the bathroom a lot so not much work actually getting done! Hope if it a bug it's a 24 hour thing or if it's food that it will pass quickly also!

Around 9:45pm last night, we were sititng in the living room watching tv, and then heard several males voices yelling and fighting and screaming profanities right in front of our house, it escalated and escalated, then there was a gunshot, and they all got in their cars and drove away.

It was scary and not expected at all in my neighborhood.

We called the cops but by the time got there, they all had gotten away.

I am still pretty shaken up by the hold thing.

I made it through Shutterfly bc I find it to be the easiest website to use.

It came out really well in my opinion.

I like their padded photo cover on the books; I think it add a lot.

I did a simple black background on all the pages like Stephie, but she used Blurb if I remember correctly.

Chelsea McGowan took mine. She made me feel super comfortable! She said that she doesn't have her clients do any poses that she wouldn't feel comfortable doing. Plus, if you ever look at her blog, you feel like you get to know her. I felt like I knew her before I even met her. I was a little nervous at first, but then I just relaxed and had fun! I would highly recommend it!
