Wedding Woes

s/o cars

H's company car died last week. He's been driving a rental.

They finally got in touch with him about a new car. The choices were a volvo v50 wagon and a ford fusion. Keep in mind his last car was a ford and gave him a lot of trouble.

Either today or tomorrow we will be the "owners" (quotes because it's not really our car) of a station wagon. I'm kind of excited but at the same time it freaks me out. It's a little more "family car" than we've ever had before.

You better get used to family cars.  No matter what you put a carseat in, it will turn into one.  I wouldn't mind a wagon.  They are much nicer now and very convenient.

i have a Subaru legacy wagon (it's an older model - essentially what a current Subaru outback looks like). It is awesome for shopping trips or hauling things. It's large enough for us to put both dogs in the back and Wolverine and luggage in the back seat for a road trip.

I will be sad when it dies, but will probably get an outback or *shudder* SUV just for the sake of having at least one large car. DH has a Dodge Intrepid.

The space situation is what really made my mind up about the wagon. We visit both sets of parents frequently and mostly stay over night. Between a pack n' play and a stroller we need the trunk space.

That's why we upgraded to the Acadia...We camp a lot and we were not able to pack everything we wanted or we would have to find someone who could take our stuff because our sedans were limited.   Also, if we get KU, we're going to need the space for the baby's stuff for when we go see my parents or other family.

Especially other family.  Because of my nephew, my parents have a lot of baby stuff.

I LOVE Volvos. I think my family car might be the Volvo SUV. It's a comfortable ride with plenty of room.
