How's the wedding planning going? Any blips or bumps in the road? Not great. I'm struggling with all of the wedding planning. FI wants a wedding, and he should have one, but I wish I wasn't the wedding planner. In retrospect, we should have spent the money to hire someone.

Next major project to tackle? Reception Hall Decor (with a lot of limitations on time and what's already there). Playlists for the DJs. Planning the ceremony. Finding the boys something to wear. Convincing myself that a wedding is a good idea (or at least one I can survive).

How's the wedding planning going? Any blips or bumps in the road? It is early yet, so most things are easy going. It is really just figuring out how to work it all into our budget. But we are creative and flexible.

Next major project to tackle? Telling friends and family. Could be kind of rough as some of them were not very supportive of the relationship. Oh, well. I am happy and so is he! Crazy happy!

Good, I get frustrated when I don't hear back from the caterer for a whole week - I guess this is how "he is" Ordering my dress through www.inweddingdress.com along with my girls and my wedding party - a bit nervous and excited about this.

Invitations turned out great but were quite the challenge. I won't print these again for my daughters weddings.

Next major project to tackle? Programs, shoes, and deciding on a "first dance song" Any suggestions are welcome.

How's the wedding planning going? Any blips or bumps in the road? We're having a casual, DIY wedding and everything is going very well. Everything's just about done/paid for except the rings and a couple minor things. Money's been a little tight with FI not working, not getting unemployment and having shoulder surgery next week, but we're managing.

Next major project to tackle? Hoping and praying FI gets a full-time job after his surgery.....hoping and praying that I get rid of these pre-wedding jitters....buying our rings.

How's the wedding planning going? Any blips or bumps in the road? We've just started....have to confirm date with the church before we can really do anything, however, we've just about rounded out the guest list.

Next major project to tackle? Hurry up and wait on the church - then we'll book a venue - we have 3 that we're looking at seriously, I'm sure at least one will be available on the date.

How long did you and FI date before engagement? We had been seeing each other on an off for about 5 years. Last year we decided to move in together. Within in 3 months he popped the question.
How long between first date and wedding date? 5 years.

How's the wedding planning going? Any blips or bumps in the road? Planning has gone good so far. I have my dress and it's nearly paid for. The ceremony venue is reserved and so is the reception hall. I am still stressing over things like the flowers and invitations. The only bumps in the road that I can think of is the ex's... for some reason they think that they can have a say whether we get married or not.
Next major project to tackle? My next project will be to tackle the music for both the reception and the ceremony as well as the officiant for the ceremony. I have a list of vendors for both, now it's time to interview them

How long between first date and wedding date? Oops, answered that in the last one. We will be 8 days past the 2 year mark on our wedding day.

How's the wedding planning going? Any blips or bumps in the road? So far, the only blip has been his parents thinking it isn't appropriate to have a "big wedding" for the 2nd marriage. Well, I didn't get this the first time and damnit this is what we want and they aren't paying for it. They also aren't hosting a rehearsal dinner so FI and I are throwing a pizza and beer luau in my parents back yard by the pool.

Next major project to tackle? Hand addressing the invitations! It sucks but I think a nicer personal touch to hand address them.

How's the wedding planning going? Any blips or bumps in the road? So far so good. Planning an outdoor wedding at a 'castle tower' in the park where we had our first date. It's a beautiful location and if weather permits (tree color change) will be an absoultuely beautiful setting. Kinda a country road setting.
My only blip -- is what the guys should wear. NO tuxes, NO suits, NO ties ~~ any suggestions?

Next major project to tackle? Question to others ~~~~~ is it acceptable to have the brides and 2 brides maids bouquets out of silks? I would use flowers that would be in season (sunflowers, roses, fall leaf colors) Just curious if silks are taboo?

When we finally did they weren't available for the dates we were looking at, so we've had to move our wedding date up 6 weeks sooner. We were planning on a fall wedding theme but now with our wedding on Labor Day weekend I don't know what theme we'll do.

Next major project to tackle? Meeting with florist in 2 weeks. Putting down payment on venue and making appointments with catering and cakes.

How's the wedding planning going? Any blips or bumps in the road? We are amazingly on the same page with everything. We recently decorated an entire house together and that was just the most fun ever instead of headache of compromise. We are just totally in sync. :-)

How long did you and FI date before engagement? He proposed on our 4th date (long distance relationship so about 2 months), BUT we dated over a year and a half 15 years ago.

How long between first date and wedding date? 4 years

How's the wedding planning going? Any blips or bumps in the road? I just found a restaurant that has a great package - four hour event with appetizers, then salad or soup, then entree (guests order what they want), then cake/dessert. They have the centerpieces and make the cake. Ceremony can be onsite. I am happy to have them take on most of the planning headache. Biggest issue is that the only date we could find that fits with FIs schedule is the day after Yom Kippur, which means I will be in temple Friday night/Saturday day before and I will not be around to entertain guests.
