I have to beat cheeks, because my husband he is back.
So while I'd like to sit around here monitoring some crack,
I must turn my attention to the dude that I wed,
So that this night may end eventually in bed.

But don't get it twisted, I'm not giving in.
Losing to miss J just might be a sin.

Nothing extravagant - cabin in the mountains, for some post-holiday R&R. Rufus is coming. There's some wineries nearby, and we'll probably go snow tubing at the ski resort nearby one day. Mostly, just sitting around and reading with a glass of wine in hand.

That's true. I'm not a big lake person. I prefer my water chlorinated or filtered. But they can be awfully pretty!

I will say, it is pretty nice that the mountains are visible from the intersection right near our house. We don't live in a fancy neighborhood, but there's some cool stuff that's really accessible. Lots of wineries out there. This area is expensive and a pain in the ass with traffic, but that's a major perk.

That sounds heavenly, Daff. I just told DH a few days ago that I want a REAL vacation this year, not a crazed Disney trip or 7-day, historical walking tour of some city. We always try to throw 15 days of shiit into 5 and it kills us. I want to sit my white ass on a beach, under a cabana and read some books, dammit!

That is pretty cool! All that's here is the Mayo Clinic, and that'sjust irritating. Ha! That's not really true though, we have some great state parks and the awesome river bluffs which are cool in their own right.
