Seasons (Washington Twp) or Addison Park?

So I believe that I have some sort of disease that prevents me from making decisions.  We've been looking at venues for a couple of months now and every time I think we're close to signing I think about what I could be missing out on.
I know that we do have it narrowed down now.  We are between Addison Park and Seasons in NJ (and potentially Westmount Country Club if I convince them to match my price lol).  Here is my current dilemma:
I know that Seasons has wonderful food (and an amazing package - includes everything you could think of), with service to match.  Their room is pretty but definitely a different feel than Addison.  Their grounds are also less extensive than those at Addison and since we are having a summer wedding this is something that we need are considering, although the grounds won't make or break our decision.
Addison...finally convinced them to give us a tasting.  The food was ok.  Not the best, but definitely not the worst.  They have a nice package in terms of food (slightly less extensive than Seasons), and the place is GORGEOUS.  They also have a beautiful outdoor ceremony space.
In terms of food I know I'd pick Seasons.  If it were based on decor alone I'd go with Addison.  I have to realize that you can't have everything but I'm trying to get some feedback from others who may have attended one or both of these places.
I REALLY appreciate it!  I'm driving myself nuts with this.

Personally, I would go with the one with better food in your situation.   people will remember the food and if it isn't good, that is what they are going to remember about your wedding, not the decor.     I haven't been to a wedding at either, but I have heard really great things about Seasons.

Thank you.  You are probably right.  Especially coming from an Italian family full of harsh food critics...

I would go with the one that has the better food. My cousin had their wedding @ Seasons and everything was great.

Does anyone know if Seasons has an outdoor ceremony space?  I didn't inquire about this during our initial meeting because we weren't considering doing the ceremony at the hall at that time.
    Thanks!

Pretty sure they don't have outdoor space.  My cousin had her wedding there in April (ceremony was at a church) and the food was amazing, the room was beautiful too!

I would personally choose the place with better food.  People will notice the food more than the grounds.

I would definitely go for the place that has better food.  Mediocre food will definitely end up over shadowing any memory people might have of the beautiful decor.  People expect to eat great food at a wedding!  Also I know someone that had their wedding at the Seasons and was extremely happy.  I also know of a bride that had her wedding at Addison Park and was very disappointed with the food.  Hard choice but just trust yourself.  You will make the right decision that suits you.

I second the place with the better food!! I also considered the Addison but I wasn't too crazy about having another wedding party at the same time especially when they only have one entrance.  I also heard that you can heard the music from the other party since the wall/room dividers thing is not sound proof.

Seasons does not have an outdoor ceremony space but you can't go wrong with Seasons. Their reviews are excellent in all categories!

I second the food deciding factor!

There are many of us on this board who are Season's brides.  The food and the service is top notch.  I know what you mean by the fact there is less outdoor space and less "ambiance" but you make up for it with the food.  No one cares about outdoor space if the food is bad.  At the end of the day, in the price range, there is nothing in No. NJ that gives the quality of food that Season's provides AND the ambiance you are describing.  The only thing is the Pleasantdale Chateau and that is over $200 a head.

Go with Season's.  You won't regret it.  All people care about is the food--especially the Italian's.  I'm marrying a man who is 100% Italian and I've I had taken them to Addison and fed them the food there, I never would have heard the end of it.

    Thanks for the advice Alyssa.
Thats exactly what I'm worrying about...having it at Addison and never hearing the end of "it was beautiful...but the food...."!  Have you been to Addison yourself or with any family members?  If so what did you think of the food.
One more question about Seasons.  I'd be using the lower level room (bigger ballroom), is there enough seating in the cocktail hour room to accomodate all guests?  I hate when you can't sit and enjoy the cocktail hour.  Thanks again...

I am having my wedding at Seasons summer 2011 in the downstairs main ballroom.  For the cocktail hour it seemed like their was the room with everything in it and another smaller room with tables set up.  When I went to see it their was a wedding going on and they were having their cocktail hour.  No one seemed crammed and they all seemed to have a seat. :) Also when I was looking  at Seasons they told me that they were going to be putting pavers outside to create a nice out doors area.  I never went to check so I don't know if they did it but I am hoping that happens!

For the cocktail hour, Seasons will section off a third of the main ballroom for the cocktail hour so there is plenty of room for the guests.
I believe they added pavers to the outdoor area in the front of the building by the gazebo to form a nice path along flowers.

I visited Addison Park- I live right near it and personally, I'm not a fan of it! I wasn't crazy about the room- I def didn't like the room that our wedding would be in- I liked the cocktail room better, with the windows and nicer bars.  Also, I just have an opinion about Addison because everytime I think about it- I think about the "prom incident" that happened- and I honestly get disgusted! =[

I havent been to Seasons- but I am having my wedding at the Venetian- and honestly, I hear people rave about it.  So I know they own both- and I honestly keep hearing, we couldnt have picked a better place because the food is out of this world... so with that being said, I think Seasons should be the winner! =]

Thanks so much for all of the wonderful advice/comments.
Michelle - Does the way they section off the main ballroom look funny?  Is it a smooth transition from cocktail hour to dinner?
I think that despite my feelings on food I am going to end up going with Addison.  I think that the food there is solid, though not on the same level as Seasons, but it has more features that better suit us.  We love the outdoor ceremony area there as well as the style of the ballroom and cocktail.  I also really like the way everything flows - from the outdoor ceremony to the cocktail space to the main ballroom.  I just really hope I'm making the right decision!
Allie - I'm kind of scared to ask, but what is the prom incident at Addison??

I think Allie is talking about Melissa Drexler, the girl who gave birth at the prom, threw the baby in the trash and went on to dance like nothing happened.

A story in the NY Times says that incident happened at a hall called the "Garden Manor" in Aberdeen ( http://www.nytimes.com/1997/07/02/nyregion/before-prom-night-a-suspect-was-the-girl-next-door.html?ref=melissa_drexler ), and as it turns out, that's what Addison Park used to be called.

Yeah, that is exactly what I was talking about- I was going to message you the incident because it is really sad!

It is a beautiful place- just had an unfortunate incident- but I'm sure other places have things that happen there too.. I was just very aware of this because like I said, it is very close to my house.
