FINALLY DONE WITH SCHOOL!

So I am finally done with school and I am going to plan this wedding in less than a year.
The only thing I really have is The Elements in Sharonville. She has been a life saver for me.

I am going to the Paul Brown stadium bridal show that someone here asked about to find my vendors but this is who I am thinking of using becuase they were suggested from my banquet hall. ALL SUGGESTIONS are helpful so please let me know.

Michael bambino - Photography
Tamra Berry- Make up
A Spoon Fulla Sugar - Cake
Yellow Canary - Florist
A savannah nite limo - I was going to use the Elements limo but Nidhi said they can not accomodate my 20 person bridal party, so a savannah nite gave me a really good deal.

I am so confused on who to use a as a DJ. I really want a chocolate fountain as well. So any suggestions on the people I am thinkng of would be great.

I have been doing a lot of research on this site and a brides concierge but I would really like the input from everyone before I start booking.

Congrats to the grad!  Will you know what to do w/ all that study time now that it's been free'd up?  It's good you'll have that behind you so now you can devote your attention to the demands of putting on a wedding.  Good luck!

Congrats on being done with school!

We booked Elements in Sharonville too and love it! Nidhi is  a livesaver! Since I'm on such a strict budget, I couldn't really go with the vendors they suggested. I've been hunting around on these boards for more affordable options. I'd say that if you can afford it, go with the ones Nidhi and the team suggest. They work with those folks the most and have built a trusting relationship with them.

I've ventured a tad bit from abridesconcierge and really searched through these boards the most, looking for everyday brides and their suggestions/reviews/recs and I find that most helpful. Anyway, good luck with you!!!

As far as my vendors so far:
    Cake-Jeanas Great Cakes
    Makeup/Hair: Michelle Marx
    Photographer: Robert Hogan
    DJ: Party Pleasers
    Ceremony Music: Elizabeth Motter

First and foremost, congratulations on finishing school.  I am enrolled full-time right now and I'm getting married in 6 weeks... panic!

The only vendor listed with whom I have any experience is A Spoon Fulla Sugar.  I am not overwhelmed.  You know when you go to a restuarant and the waitor/waitress says everything they need to say and does everything they need to do... BUT NOT ONE THING MORE?  That cold, efficient communication that develops is the state in which I find myself with the women there.

Though we were able to taste cake during our scheduled consultation, they were dramatically overbooked.  We wound up on stools in the middle of their lobby with about 3 other couples, all of whom were talking over one another.  The two consultants taking care of these three couples were buzzing back and forth and we were largely left to our own devices during the tasting.  So, they didn't do anything *wrong,* per se, but they didn't do anything well, either.

We were hurried through the design process, we were never shown a sketch, and left with a question posed to them.  They did not answer that question for several MONTHS until I finally called them and followed up.  I was kind of testing the waters to see if they'd call as the date approached.

Technically, I believe we left the store with the answer, "Well, I really don't have any idea.  I'll talk to [someone] and see what she thinks.  I guess she'll call you if she thinks that will be a problem."  Again, they weren't negligent, but the level of customer service didn't bowl me over, either.

Finally, in addition to restating my question, I asked -- AGAIN -- for a sketch.  I was told it would be emailed.  It's only been a few days, but I'm still waiting.
