...is dangerous when you're sad and vulnerable after losing your dog. Why? Because you blink and find out that you signed a bunch of papers and then there are two dogs waiting in your car.

Meet Libby the pugle, and Ubee the border collie/shepherd. They do this in my living room now:
http://s2.photobucket.com/albums/y44/zipis1/?action=view¤t=Ubeeandroxy.mp4I still miss Bumbledog terribly, but I'm glad to be giving these two a home.
(This may be a bit of a post and run for a little while. I'll be back later though).
Re: Working at a humane society... (PIP)

I'm sorry about Bumbledog, hunny. I know how hard that is but these two adorable friends will help. They're so cute!!

The other day I was walking my dog and a black pug followed us the entire mile long walk. By the time I got back to my apartment complex a guy sitting on his porch asked me if he was mine. I asked the kids who always play by my apartment if they knew who he belonged to, thankfully they did and took him back. I do have to admit I had fun with the little stalker pug!

<div>They do this all.the.time. Whenever we're at the park I have to watch my dogs, and other pugs, b/c they'll follow whomever looks good. It's really amusing!</div>

::Hugs:: again about Bumbledog. I know you must miss him, but I'm sure he was just the happiest dog to have had you to take care of him for so long!

And this is why I hesitate to volunteer at the pound. It would be so hard to not take everyone home with me.
I haz a planning bio
Puggles are so sweet!! And Ubee has beautiful eyes
Enjoy them; Bumbledog wouldn't want you to be sad.
But yes, I could never volunteer/work at any sort of animal shelter because I'd be bringing home EVERY animal. We're already overloaded as it is!
The only reason I'm able to work at this one is because it's a no-kill shelter. Otherwise I would take every animal I saw home!
The funny thing about Ubee is that he's actually really calm. You would think that with the two breeds he has in him he'd be bouncing off the walls, but nope. He's content to hang out on the couch all day long :P
I remember adopting Pouncival, and how much joy and comfort he brought to my life after losing my dog a couple years prior. I wasn't sure I could love like that again, but these crazy furballs have a knack for creeping into your heart and making themselves at home.
Congratulations on your new family members!
