Wedding Ring Confusion

Please help Me Figure this out..

This is my 1st wedding, I received my engagement ring inJuly2009. We went shopping for rings and he bought me another wedding ring set band included. Do I wear the original engagement ring ring, or the new one and have the band placed on at the ceremony? This is so confusing..

Re: Wedding Ring Confusion

  • It's totally up to you, even though I'm not really sure of your question.

  • Well, you could wear the original on your right hand on the new one on your left, or the other way around
  • So wait, you now have 3 rings?  Am I reading this correctly?
  • i'm really sorry but i don't understand the question. :( i want to help you, i really do!
  • If I'm understanding you, you have an engagement ring. And a wedding set consisting of another ring and a matching band. Yes?

If so, you can wear the ring of the set on your left hand during your wedding ceremony and have your groom place the band on that same hand & finger.

You can wear the e-ring on your right hand if you like.

    Hope that helps!

  • I'm confused as to why you bought another e-ring with the band instead of just getting the band.

    I'm Confused too.

    1. Are you saying you have an e-ring (with a stone). Then he bought another e-ring (with stone) & a wedding band (as a set)?  (Lucky girl that you got two rocks)

I would wear one  e-ring on my right hand & one e-ring  on my left. But if you don't like the old setting then you can turn the old stone into a necklace.

    OR

    2. That he bought an e-ring (w/ a stone). Then he bought an e-ring setting only (to reset your old stone) & a wedding band that matches the new setting?

Reset it or keep your old setting if you want. If you like your old setting just tell your FI that the first one has sentimental meaning (or other reasons why you like it). Your e-ring & wedding band don't have to match.

    OP I tried.
