So girls. I'm wondering if anyone wants to sound off about how much chub-a-lub they'd like to loose before the big day. (If any)
My current goal is 30lbs, which seems like a huge mountain to me and I find my head spinning wondering how I let this happen... However.. Pouting will get me no where.
(Sorry if this has been posted already... I tried to dig back a bit to make sure but you never know!)
Also, what are you doing to get motivated? I know how to accomplish, it all boils down to eat right and exercise... no pills, shakes, gimmicks... just plain hard work.
What I'm lacking surprisingly is motivation!

  • My number is 40. I'm 15 pounds away but can't seem to quit eating junk food. I will resume my diet/exercise plan in March.

  • I'm the complete opposite. I am just accepting myself for how chubby I am until after the wedding. My dress fits like it was made for me already. I just want to maintain and not get any bigger and try to firm up my arms. It also doesn't help that as soon as I saw the title I started craving Ben Jerry's ice cream. ;

  • I worked out tonight -- and then polished off the desserts from our tasting. :(

    Motivation is the toughest for me as well. I'm not trying to lose a set number of pounds, just toning my arms and losing the little belly I acquired over the holidays. I'm thinking about taking a photo of myself in a bathing suit, circling my problem areas, and taping it to the fridge.

  • Good luck! I definitely need the motivation too! My goal is 20 pounds. I gained 40 over the past 2 years and now ive lost about 10 just from not being depressed about the weight gain and being more active.... so i have 20 to go. Im not trying to get to my original weight because its not realistic. My dress is actually too big because I was scared I would jinx myself if I ordered it to fit.

  • ugh oh boy where to begin. I want to try to lose 20-30 by about june so i can get my dress fitted but i dont want to lose too much because alterations would be too much. but then again i am happy with me so i am just trying to be a better me i guess. If i lose the weight great if not oh well as long as i dont gain right? just gonna try to work on the arms and get them not so chunky lol 
  • I really would like to lose at least 30-40lbs.  Although nobody seems to think I could possibly weigh what I do. I want to try joining a gym, but I'm afraid I'd waste money and not go because it's hard to get motivated. I would love to tone everywhere, I think I'd be more comfortable with my weight if it didn't look so flabby. I tried weight watchers, but honestly I LOVE to eat, and it got me no where.  I ride my bike to work in the spring/summer.  SO hopefully I can lose some weight once all this cold and snow disappears.  Until then, my FI is kinda motivating me and helping me choose healthy instead of chunky!  haha

  • I'm pretty comfortable at being between 125 to 120 which means I need to loose 5 to 10 pounds but my biggest worry is having flabby arms, shoulder and back on wedding day. Once I figure out my routine for work, I'm gonna start heading to the gym to slim down and tone up. My diet is pretty consistent and I eat small meals every two or so hours. Just gotta keep working for greatness. Oh and at the 6 month mark I will be doing Zumba in the am and gym free work. So maybe I can lose even more weight. That's my plan just gotta start it.

  • I would like to lose like 30 lbs I have been trying very hard to watch what I eat and exercise its hard but I know I can do it!! Also I really want to tone my arms since that is what will be seen in the pictures!!

  • 45 lbs!  I am doing low carb (lots of veggies and protien and some healthy fats) and aiming to work out 3-4 times a week.

    I'd love a weekly post for check in/accountability.

    I gained about 30 lbs 3 years ago (new bcp) and have never lost it.  I am spending SO much money on my wedding photos and I don't want to be dissapointed that I look overweight.

  • I kind of just want to stay the same but tone. I mean I would LOVE to lose but I don't want to pay so much for alterations. I would like to work on my arms and just tighten up my tummy and the girls a little so I should prob do some push ups and crunches instead of stalking the knot all night long!

    Well it sounds like we're all in similar places, if nothing we're needing motivation and accountability haha! This week has been no bueno for me, im blaiming it on PMS for sure.
    If I stay organized enough maybe ill do a weekly post where anyone who wants to can just check in with the positives and negitives about the previous weeks weight loss or toning success (or lack thereof).
    I joined the free website http://www.myfitnesspal.com/ which also has a cell phone app. Its very visual which I love. It does suggest you count calories (not my favorite) but I figure ill give it a try.

    I just want to look at my pictures and love them that should be my motivation I think... I look at the picture of me trying on my wedding dress and don't like it. I don't like how I look in any picture so that should be my motivation

  • This thread helped me get my behind in gear! Went to the gyn last night anf took a Cardio Funk class and going to Zumba tonight!!! Now only of I can stay motivated....
