  • Beautiful.  I like some of the unique aspects.
  • How did you make the card box? I like it a lot and am trying to find my own materials to make one!
  • Love the pics and all the DIY touches, we used purple too!
  • I love love love the wine bottle table numbers!  Mind if I borrow that idea? your wedding was gorgeous :)
  • Thank you everybody! Here are the answers to your questions.

alh120: I would love if you borrowed the wine table number idea. It would be a compliment. It is reall easy to do. Just buy 8x11 mailing labels (office depot) and print your own design at home. It is less expensive than doing it professionally and it is custum made just for you! Also, my guests loved them, and took them home to drink after the wedding.

tennisace3939: I made the card box with four  8x11 picture frames. I connected the inside with L-braqets. The top is a peice of foam cut to size. I cut a slit in the top so that the cards would fit. Then cover the foam with batting and material. Girls on the DIY board can give you more detailed instructions.

staceytaylor070: I bought the shoes online. The brand is Wild Diva. They are covered in a beautiful, purple satin and have rinestone embelishments by the peep toe. I love these shoes!

mrskaniver: It was at Jacaranda. Have you gone to another wedding there?

wrkn925: everyone loved the flip flops! They were a hit! I got them in my wedding colors when old navy had their $1 flip flop day.
  • i'm so impressed by the DIY touches! how did you make the memorial candles? i was hoping to do some for my brother and grandfather but wasn't sure how
  • I went to a family friend's wedding there and also toured it more recently as a possible venue for my own wedding (although I'm a Miami bride now) :)

  • Mish722: Thank you! It is very easy to make a memorial candle. First, get a large, candle pillar and vellum paper. Then, print out any message you want straight onto the vellum paper from your computer (our message was: "For those we have loved and lost along the way, a flame to remember them burns here today"). Next, wrap the vellum around the candle, and hot glue the back to connect the two ends. Finally, wrap your ribbon around the edges of the vellum (on the top and bottom), and hot glue those. The whole project cost me about $3.00 to make! I strongly recommend it.

mrskaniver: I was almost a miami bride too! There are too many choices in S. FL. Congrats!
