Chicago Venue Bring own Alcohol

Can anyone tell me places they have researched that has a reasonable rental fee for a Chicago venue (not suburbs) and you can bring your own alcohol.  Also, any suggested caterers who serve YOUR alcohol.  Thanks.

The Stan Mansion was on the list of venues we visited and I believe you can bring your own liquor there, but you just have to choose a caterer that allows you to not use their liquor.

I think it is more dependent on the caterer than the venue. I know Froggy's lets you bring your own.

Make sure you check into all the licenses needed to bring in your own liquor.
We were required to get a one day liquor license in Oak Brook for our wedding. I'm sure the city has similar laws.

When researching places, we were adamant about providing our own liquor.  We visited West Loop Studios, West Grand Studios, and Prairie Production.  All three allowed us to buy our own liquor.

At these venues, we were told we needed someone to serve it - this can be the caterer or you can hire a bartending service (they provide the dram shop insurance in your name for the day of the event - this provides coverage for against lawsuits that arise from property damage or injury related to the alcohol your event served).

Our caterer was Bonsoiree and they charged us bartending service per head.  I found out that they sub-contracted the bartending service to D'Absolute Catering.

I was extremely happy with the bar service they provided - unlike some banquet halls where they used a jigger to measure, because we provided the liiquor they were free pouring keeping our guests happy!

We're having our wedding at the Rookery, and the caterer is allowing us to bring our own alcohol as long as they serve it (this is necessary for liability purposes). It's still a huge savings. I think they charge less  $5 per person to serve.
