Closed toe shoes in summer?

This might be a TMI question, but I plan on wearing ballet flats at my June (80-90 degrees, usually) wedding under a full skirt - I'm afraid of my feet being really warm and that making me feel hot. Did anyone have this experience? I mean I usually feel fine wearing ballet flats in summer, but I've of course never worn them under a big fluffy skirt :) Thanks!

  • You'll be fine.  Just make sure that they are made of natural materials so that your feet can breathe.

  • I figured I was overthinking this :)
    Thanks!
  • As someone who goes through 100+ degree heat quite often during the summer, the only other thing I would recommend (aside from not worrying about which shoes you wear, since you'll still be hot  :D ) would be to get liners to wear.  If you don't know what they are, they're basically really thin sock that only come part-way up your foot and are meant to be worn in flats.  PLUS, if you're wearing a full skirt and don't plan on people really seeing your feet, it won't matter if the fabric peeks out just a bit under the shoes!
