The ice festival was actually pretty fun. We did a lot of shopping. Other than the fact that I came down with a monster migraine on Sunday afternoon, it was a very fun weekend with FI.
We took my younger sister out to lunch for her birthday yesterday, and sadly I feel as if she's a lost cause. She won't listen to anyone, and thinks she knows everything. I just hope she doesn't end up pregnant.
We took Alice to the dog park yesterday, and she's slowly getting braver.
Tonight it's riffs turn for the dog park. and i'm going to make something with chicken breasts, not sure what yet. I was thinking chicken parm or something of the sort(I don't bread the chicken to keep it healthier)

I feel your migraine pain! I had one yesterday too, I went to the nuerologist friday, and she started me on a new preventative and Gave me a refil for my Maxalt MLT
Yes, and she's 15. She's like I'm getting my nose pierced, I was like are you freaking kidding me, you're 15! and she's like I'm getting a tattoo. and such. She gets to do whatever she wants at her grandmothers, and it's absolutely ridiculous.
My weekend was good. Saturday was a lot of running around, but I hung out with some friends from high school Saturday night and that was a lot of fun. Sunday was a lazy day and it was wonderful. I did end up baking a little bit though - I made mini peach and blueberry cobblers. I had found a recipe on Pinterest and it was so easy. They were delicious too!
Britt - I just saw your puppy post. OMG I love her! She is so darn cute!
Since H is gone for 8 weeks, I'm determined to slowly clean out our pantry and freezer and try to only buy fruits, veggies, milk, and cheese at the store. We have SO much food, and my project is to try and eat as much as I can.
Last night I made a VERY underwhelming bowtie pasta with ground turkey, onion, and bell pepper in a buttery sauce. It was pretty bland, but like I said, trying to clean stuff out. So that's what I'll be eating tonight, too.
Brit- I think piercing may be more lax, but unless your grandma (your sister's grandma?) is her guardian I don't think tattoo parlors will actually tattoo her without your parents permission. Also, my brother was pretty wild when he was younger, graduated high school with a very low gpa (1.something) went to community college for a year, transferred to a university, graduated from there, and is now a "successful adult" in that he has a job he loves, insurance, a house with chickens, et cetera. Many of his friends from HS have done the same thing, I think it is usually just a phase. It will make things harder in the long run, but being a crazy/poor decision making teen doesn't actually ruin the rest of a person's life. It sucks watching someone you love do stupid or silly things, but hopefully it will all work out.
Also, I keep checking my email hoping I get one that says I don't have to work today. Sadly, no dice.
I hope so, unfortunately our father would sign the permission slip, seeing as he's a child himself. It's a crappy situation and unfortunately she knows everything and I'm waiting for her to end up in jail or pregnant, as awful as that sounds it's where she seems to be headed, and at 15 she doesn't need anything pierced other than her ears.
Britt. Hopefully it is just a teenage rebellious phase and she will grow out of it. I actually helped my sister get on birth control when she was about that age
Sunshine. I really like the 2nd pair of shoes but feel like the first pair would go with more clothes
I had a good weekend. We went out to dinner with FI and his mentor who was town Friday night and then on sat am went to the museum. Yesterday he was out of town and I went to look at open houses which was fun.

I got my first tattoo at 15 and I turned out ok. ;-)
Luckily it was a rather benign flower on my lower back and not anything crazy like a sleeve.
I think most 15 year olds think they know everything, try not to worry too much Britt. :-)
If I had my way the legal tattoo age would be 25, I got all of my tats before I turned 21. Not that I regret them, I just wish I had put a bit more thought into them and they were more meaningful.
I feel like I am always late now. the weekend was nice I got to see FI and we went to go see the Hobbit finally. I was super excited! but other than that we did nothing and it was so nice.
I am sorry about your sister Brittany, lol I think I had my ears nose and belly button pierced by 16.. those didn't last long though. I did get my tattoos before 21. but I haven't regretted those yet. I am sure she will sort it out

<div>I'll add to this and say that I wanted a tattoo BADLY when I was 15-16 years old. I never got one though - I talked myself out of it. I ended up getting my first tattoo at 26. Oddly enough, it was almost the exact tattoo I wanted when I was around 15 (but in a different location). That being said, I probably wouldn't have regretted it had I gotten it 10 years earlier.</div>
I had a pretty lazy weekend. The most productive thing I did was scrub the bathroom. On Saturday H and I lounged around, and barely wanted to go out to our friends apartment warming party because it was cold and icky outside. But I'm happy we did, otherwise I seriously wouldn't have left the house the whole weekend and I would have felt like a major bum. On Sunday H hung out with his guy friends and played D&D, while I watched the Twilight movies on tv. I think it was a win for both of us.
Brit, your new puppy looks so cute!
Misssunshine, I like the first and third shoes the best.
Today is our 6 month wedding anniversary! I'm making H's favorite meatloaf. It's stuffed with mozzarella cheese and has tons of fresh basil and parsley in it. I'm quite excited for it too. I think I'm going to break out the china for the first time too for fun.
Hi ladies - I'm late, as I've been in meetings all morning, now I'm going to head out to lunch with a coworker.
We had a good weekend, it was pretty mellow. Went to the casino and FI won, which was exciting and funny since he didn't want to go. We just take a small amount each and once we're done, we leave. It wasn't a long stay, to say the least, but it was fun. We also went to dinner and out to drinks with my friend, it was good catching up with her.
Yesterday was booking the tux rental and FI looking at a new car...
Britt - love your new puppy and congrats on the 3 lbs!
Buzz - happy half year of being married! That meatloaf sounds amazing.
