Hi ladies,
  I met with a florist today and booked her. While I was there I asked about what happens if  my Fi gets deployed and we have to push back the wedding. She said that she would hold everything for me at no charge and do my flowers for the new wedding date. She then told me that, she did a wedding where the groom was deployed just before the big day and the wedding needed to get pushed back a year. She  say she is fine with doing that if need be.

So I booked her.!

    I would get that in writing. Just cause someone says something doesn't mean they mean it

    Yay!  Just get it in writing - people can promise the world, but when push comes to shove they might not follow through.  It's not what we'd hope, but it's always best to protect yourself by adding the military clause stating what she's agreed to verbally to the contract.

    That's a great check, and you have gorgeous flowers in your siggy.

    Well congrats on the big and important check! That's a great relief to have such an understanding vendor to work with you. :) I checked to make sure our photog would do the same and she had no problem with it.. We didn't get pushed back thankfully but since H left so shortly after the wedding she got our "sneak peek" up asap so we could look at them together. It was a really sweet gesture from her, and it's so wonderful to have vendors like your florist to care about the fact that his schedule isn't always ideal.

    We already have itin writting on our contract, but thanks for looking out for me. 

    And yes, those are peonies. I love peonies, and with a June wedding in WI I'm able to do them.  :) 
     
    My next plan is a photographer. Some of them in the area I live aren't that great on prices/ getting back to you :(

    I thought the same in my area.. It took me a long time to find a photog that was under 2g. But then I found quite a few and LOOOOOVED mine.. she was 1500 which included all the wedding, the engagement shoot, and all rights to the pictures. :) You can do it!
    If you're REALLY tight on cash, I know a TON of people that check the local college (because people need to build their portfolios) and even craigslist! no joke! You can get CRAZY good deals. Of course meet them first, in a public place... with someone with you.. lol. But A lot of people have great luck that route! :)
    When you google "photographer" in your area, it will pop up the best, most popular, or ones paying the most to be on top of the search. You need to find the other ones.. look up "family photog" instead of wedding.. That will surprisingly find more reasonable photographers. ;)

    That is so exciting to get the florist done and having them be so flexible for military is super nice! 


    I agree with FTL check craigslist!!

    W e found our DJ on craigslist and he is great!! my FI posted looking for a DJ and we got back TONS of replys. It is so nice to have people fighting for your business and you just have to sit back and choose. Haha. We did the same thing for our photographer, but I found one I loved at the bridal show and booked him instead.
