Nebb- Definitely go to an endo. General physicians often have different standards than endos do for blood levels and when to medicate to regulate your thyroid. My mom has had so many issues with hypothyroidism and when she finally went to an endo and was treated by him, she felt 100x better and was able to lose weight. She'd been doing much the same of what you're doing- exercising a lot, eating properly, etc. I need to go as well, but I'm not sure if it's covered by my insurance.

Thanks for the rec ladies! I've been taking Uricalm which sounds similar, but just hasn't been cutting it. I'm pretty much out so I'll pick up some of the good stuff today.
Morning ladies. I was on call this morning but no work for me!
Im about to throw dinner in the crock pot, open all the doors and windows, and do some house stuff. I have a few craft things I want to try on Pinterest.
DMil- 7 weeks is a litle early for a yes or no with twins. Did they ask you to come back in a week or 2? I know a few girls on TB who the Drs saw 2 sacs, but only 1 heartbeat at 7 weeks, and then at 8 weeks there were 2 babies and 2 beats!
Can I be honest, im really bitter and pissed off that ive been dealing with it this long and my doctor just basically said "i dunno!" to me when he could have sent me to a specialist. I dont get the impression he believes me when I say I eat well and work out.
Morning ladies! I am so glad it is Friday. Work has been crazy and I am exhausted and in bed super early lately. I started exercising, but kinda lost it this week. I am going to try Insanity this weekend. Wish me luck. Supposedly my thyroid is normal, so I am not sure why the weightloss becomes a huge issue for me. I feel like I have to starve myself and exercise like a mad woman to lose weight. Not sure about PCOS for me, I am going to scedule an appointment with a prenatal loss specialist so hopefully I can get some answers, but I don't really have the typical symptoms of PCOS.
LHT and Dmill, congrats on the beh behs in the bellies

Nebb I see an endocronologist. Its a reproductive one, but he handles everything hormone related. I would ask to see one. They will do extensive testing on your thyroid and all your systems. They know what to look for.
I only skimmed because I'm rushing, so I mostly remember that dmill might have TWINS!
I'm about to pack up the truck and head down to my mom's. ALmost time for my event! I just have to do a couple final tings for my class and around here, then I can head out\. But I have so much shiit to pack. I should take a pic of my truck when I'm done.

Thanks guys. In my book it said to go in with a full bladder for your first u/s, so I did. The tech said that you need a full bladder for an external but an empty for an internal. They did an external first and that's where, to me, it looked like there might be two, but it's so early that you can't really see much. So I used the restroom and had an internal. On the internal, it kind of looked like a shadow around the one that we could see, so I'm not sure. They really didn't say much and I don't know if that's because they really just can't be certain, or if because there's a possibility that there are two sacks, but most likely only one baby. I guess I'll find out more at my 12 week appt. The up side is that we did get to see at least one baby and it has a strong heartbeat (152 bpm) so I'm stoked for that
Well I got invited to a follow-up interview/candidate day for my dream position! It's not with my dream district but I don't care, what I teach is more important to me now than where I teach. I'm so excited.
Nebb definitely go see an endo - PP's are right. If there is an underlying problem and your doctor isn't treating it, you have to do what's best for you. Also - you might think about changing doctors? It's a PITA but it doesn't sound like your current one is very helpful.
Busy busy at work for me too - and I am damn glad it's Friday - we're having a quiet night in with the kids tonight, then I'm going out with a girlfriend tomorrow night for drinks and debauchery (and by debauchery, I mean watching the Twilight movies and crocheting lol). Should be a good time!
