Good Morning, ladies!!

Haven't slept very much in about two days. So... tired.... To some extent, this is self-inflicted, so I'm also aggravated with myself. On the plus side, though- I like looking at my calendar and seeing "Office Closed" marked out on 5/31. Sure, that's a few weeks away, but a girl likes to have goals.

B- 35 days is awesome! I'm loving all the new E babies.

Brie- enjoy your last day of work! I'm also glad to hear things are looking up with your mom. Hopefully now you'll both be able to enjoy your wedding a bit more.

Amoro- DH says he's always wanted to go to Sweden, so you might actually be getting a visit. Probably not until next spring though.

Kate! I'm jealous of your Disney trip! I'm not even kidding when I say that taking one last child-free trip to Disney is one of the main things stopping us from TTC right now.

Morning, ladies! We've been keeping an eye on the oil spill, as we were supposed to go on vacation with my parents and my brother and his family in Panama City. They got insurance that will reimburse them for cancellation due to a hurricane, but have to read the fine print about coverage due to an oil spill. Doesn't make much sense to rent a beach house if you can't go to the beach because it is fouled with oil.

Found out this morning that we are losing 3 more teachers for next year. Fortunately one of the math teachers is leaving because her husband got transferred, so that leaves the rest of us "safe." Her spot simply won't be filled. Of course, that bumps up everyone else's class sizes.

I'm attempting to plan meals for the rest of the week, but I've been in a serious food rut and nothing is sounding good. I also really need to do some shopping, cleaning, and working out.

I'm having breakfast with my cousin, lunch with a friend and then heading home.

I miss my puppies. And I've been napping at the beach, and it's throwing off my schedule. Plus, I got a babysitting gig for tomorrow.

Tonight, hopefully, I'll work on my resume and send it out to a few places.

Re: oil spill. One of my BMs works for BP--she's been putting in a ton of overtime these last few weeks, poor thing. And she's pregnant and in her first tri and feeling like shiit. That can't be fun.

Also, I selfishly hope that it doesn't mess with our HM. We're supposed to cruise from New Orleans to Mexico. Hmm.

I am wondering why the KPS poster who made the oil spill/vacation related one couldn't have said that as themselves on the board in a regular post or in FFF.

I think this has been touched on already in other threads but seriously. If you believe something, stand up for it. If it turns into all secrets just airing grievances about each other, it is going to lose its appeal pretty soon for me I think.

Thsi tuesday morning is wonderful. Its not muggy like yesterday and I get to leave work an hour and a half early for an eye appointment.

My glasses were scratched (I'm not sure how) and the scratches are kind of deep so I didn't think they would replace them but they are replacing the lenses today, for free. *score*

Kate, I agree with you about KPS. I read it before i read this thread, so came in here and realized it must have been posted by someone who is currently reading this thread. That's not SO big of a secret that the person couldn't just come here and say it and explain WHY the oil spill is more devastating than just affecting your vacation. Wimps. I too really hope KPS doesn't replace FFF.

Haha, I think my friend is a little more laid back. She has been so nonchalant throughout her whole pregnancy that it makes me laugh every time we talk. Actually, I wouldn't be surprised if she hadn't even put together her bag yet! :)

I think because now everyone sort of agreed you can defend yourself in FFF (or defend others) it's pointless because if you're a big enough reg (like a lot of the Canadians) then your posse will back you up. I could be completely wrong though. Just a thought.

Yes - this! And for the record........I am WAY more concerned about the wildlife and overall hit this is going to take on the economy and all the poor fisherman in the gulf area then I am for my week on the beach. Not to mention - - vacationing in Florida - there is an entire coast on the other side of the state I could go to. My vacation doesn't mean sh*t if all these people are suffering. I'd hope nobody would think I'm that dense and insensitive.

I didnt post that secret (im at work) but I will say I have to give a MAJOR side eye if people are worried about vacations because of the oil spill. I realize they are most likely concerned about the other side affects as well, but considering how devestating for the environment and peoples livelihoods this is... Its a pain in the ass to have to reroute your vacation but come on. big picture.

Good morning!!

All of this labor talk makes me think even more about babies. Kate, your friend & I have the same due date, and I haven't packed a bag yet (I packed a bag for the little guy, but not for me, I only have like 3 outfits that fit at this point so I don't want to pack one! Although I did make a list on what to include).

Last night was the first time I started to feel impatient about the kid coming...at this point it will be 18 days or less (they'll induce if I'm a week late)! I'll try to drop a quick post if anything happens.

I hope you're staying comfortable, B!!

Sorry, I totally didnt see this!! Im ok, I suppose. I think I just needed to vent. My husband got some news about his deadlines for his comic and it looks like I will not see very much of him for the rest of the year because of it. Its frustrating.
