Im irritated by the onslaught of fb friends constantly asking for donations for them to run races. Look, I get you like to run 5K's or whatever, and I get you like to do the charity ones, but come the fvck on. You ask every other week for a new race. Why not walk your ass to local businesses etc and find sponsers. Your FB friends are not going to fund your fucking running hobby.
Or hey, you can run the local pond for free. Try that.
Lol DJ. I get EXTREMELY irritated at the amount of FB friends I have that sell stupid shiit. Girls are selling At Home America, It Works!, Lia Sophia, Pampered Chef, etc. One girl recently became a Thirty One consultant and is trying to use Facebook as her outreach. Um, no I don't want to have a fucking purse party at my house. It is rude as hell to invite people over, expect them to buy stuff so I get a discount and you get paid. Thefuck? Plus, Thirty One gifts are probably some of the tackiest, kitchiest crap I've ever seen. No. Just no.

I think I wouldn't mind it if they did maybe ONE race but IA...people that want donations every single month for a charity race are too much. I ask my FB friends for donations once a year for my Great Strides for Cystic Fibrosis walk (FI has CF) and that's it. I have a friend that races in so many charity walks I don't even think he knows what he supports anymore.
My rational irritation is my H posting yesterday morning on his FB Happy Mothers day to his Mom, daughter, sisters, and niece, but no mention of his wife! I pounced and he said I was here to say it to and proceeded to delete the entire post.
My irrational (or rational not sure) was the lady they screamed at the concert everytime a chord was played. She irritated the whole balcony. And the other 2 that were grinding the staircase it was like a whole section of strippers.
irrational is the up and out every five minutes and when he comes back in and still pees on the carpet, A$$!
Ok this last one may be rational as well. I have no irrational ones at the moment.

I would be fine if it was just a few races a year and they only asked once or twice, but there are a few friends who run a race every other week and ask 5 times a day for donations. They even follow it up with "how could you not support this cause!!"
If you want to run the race that bad, and you support the cause that passionately, then pay the entrance fee yourself. The Boston Marathon only costs 5K in donations, so im sure your local town charity race isnt going to be that much.

Here is a really irrational irritation. It drives me NUTS when people on TV shows answer the phone, say "yeah ok, bye" and hang up. Then proceed to tell whoever is in the room with them about the phone conversation, and it's a super long story. No way did someone tell you all of that in the 10 seconds you were on the phone!! I realize they do it for time saving purposes, but still.
I also get really irritated when TV/movie characters make plans, but don't state a time or place and somehow everyone just KNOWS. Like, a guy will call a girl asking for a date on Saturday. They don't specify a place or time for the date, but somehow manage to show up at the correct place at the correct time. WTF.

Irrational irritation is that I am so sick of getting fund raising letters from my college friends who became "missionaries". I'm sorry but I don't want to pay for you to spend 2 years in Paris to learn French so you can some day go be a missionary in a French speaking country. I know the truth! You just love France! Own it and support yourself. You already got your friends and family to pay for seminary for you and support your your wife and your kid. At some point it's time to grow up and pay for yourself. You have no idea what that takes!!
Also, going to England to stop a Christian gospel band does not mean I should give you money. Get a job like the rest of us. And if you say you deserve the money because you are doing Gods work one more time, I may slap you.
Clearly it's fundraising season for the church people.
Lp-YES. I also think it is weird when they have phone conversations and just kind of abruptly hang up after settling a certain detail like "Ok, we will meet at 5" and immediately CLICK. they hang up. They don't have any of the niceties people typically use, like "ok, we will meet at 5, see you then! bye!"

I am irrationally irritated at FI. Our lab got ahold of an entire loaf of moldy bread and is now sick. At some point after I went to bed, the dog developed diarrehea and went on the kitchen floor. FI says he didn't see it but I sure found it when the dog woke me up at 5:30 in the morning whining because he needed to go to the bathroom again. And the fact the dog is sick is totally FI fault, instead of putting the bread in the outside trash, he leaves it on the counter and FI knows damn well that the dog is a counter surfer. Sure enough, dog waits for me to go to bed and FI to go upstairs to play on the computer and then ate the whole loaf.

Hi guys,
I just got back from picking the dogs up at the kennel. Tell me if you would be irritated or not. The kennel is at the lady's house and she has huge yards that are fenced in. She trains dogs there and also does day care/boarding. I chose the place because the dogs are able to roam around the yards and play all day.
Well,I went to pick the up and got there 15 minutes before I said I would. Well, my dog Ike, a hound, had one of those shock barking collars on. He is not an excessive barker but will bark like a normal dog, when he wants to play or wants water etc. anyway, I asked the lady about it and she jus blew it off and didn't really answer why he had it on.
Would you be pissed if your dog had a shock collar on or static or whatever it was without them calling you? Or am I getting irritated over nothing?

Yeah, I'd be mad about that. Some owners are really adverse to using those so that is definitely something that she should get permission from the owners to use. If you OK it, then fine but if not then she needs to honor that or tell you to make other arrangements.

It depends on the race. Something like Team in Training if you raise enough $$ then your hotel/flight if you travel and entry is covered. Other races you pay the entry fee and optionally fund raise or fund raise in addition to the entry fee.
Yeah duds, I decided to find a new one anyway because she called me last night and was like, "it's. BJ, when are you picking up your dogs." I was like uhh Monday at 1 like we talked about? And she was like well I have to find a place for them and hung up. This was at 9pm and I kept trying to call back and she didn't pick up. Here she got me confused with another person who didn't pick up their dogs but I was still pissed.
Thank you for telling me I'm not over reacting. I'm pissed about the collar. I will be writing reviews all over the Internet.

And if you say you deserve the money because you are doing Gods work one more time, I may slap you. Clearly it's fundraising season for the church people.

OMG, yes. I don't care that you think your work is SO important and SO selfless that you need 'sponsors' so you don't have to work for a living. No, I'm not going to pay your rent. GETAJOB.

[QUOTE]Hi guys, I just got back from picking the dogs up at the kennel.

<div>IDK if this will post or not because I can currently only see the last 3 posts in the thread, but this would NOT fly with me. At all. I would be furious. </div>
[QUOTE]In Response to Re: Irrational irritations : Im assuming that what the money is for. Basically if you want to run a race, pay for it yourself. Stop asking me.

It depends on the race. Something like Team in Training if you raise enough $$ then your hotel/flight if you travel and entry is covered. Other races you pay the entry fee and optionally fund raise or fund raise in addition to the entry fee.
SOrry if I am late on that.
