  • I thought it was a little funny and a little more of a satire than seriousness. But maybe that's because I'm a newbie and I don't know anything haha

  • See, the difference, Audrey, is that you're sane, so its funny to you that someone would take everything here so seriously.

Alas, it wasn't meant to be funny (notice the lack of LOLs in OP.)  It was meant to buuuuuurrrrrn.  Wow.  That hurt.

I guess that's true, I guess I'm the kind of person to take everuthing lighthertedly unless I know for sure its supposed to be a burn. And even if it is a "burn", really? I guess I was giving the OP too much credit and trying or something... Oh well. I'm going to hope it was satire. Even if they don't know what it means<img src="http://cdn.cl9.vanillaforums.com/downloaded/ver1.0/content/scripts/tinymce/plugins/emotions/images/smiley-laughing.gif" border="0" alt="Laughing" title="Laughing" />

Nope, her first post was on E about potentially not being divorced in time for her upcoming wedding. It was memorable.

  • oh geez.  this chick is weird.  i think she deleted or locked any photos because when i did the search i only pulled up a profile pic from bebo or something.  she looks like she should marry a guy with a mullet, wifebeater (i hate that word) - tank top, and drives a trans am.

  • Missjaw, it's not really funny once you realize how bitter the context is. She's turned into one of those posters who pops into threads to say nasty provocative things, unfortunately.

I am getting sleepy as well. I'm going to bed, you should too!

    Night ladies!

wow, i almost never come on at night. and look at all the fun i miss!! That wasnt even funny. I wouldve appreciated it if it was funny. but it sucked ass.

Cottage, please be more funny. Thanks in advance!

  • okay. so i didn't read all of them. so if someone else said this, sorry.

all i kept thinking was that a cookie would sound nice to an "oldie" (whatever that means). as long as the cookie wasn't at a cash bar or wasn't invited to both the shower and the wedding. or a "tiered" cookie, i guess. ;)

anyway. late night humor. sorry. seriously not trying to piss anyone off--please don't let the inferno come down on my head. i generally like the advice i get. while it may not always be the most polite advice it's always helpful and makes me think.

I think the original post is hilarious.  The knot contains a group of active members who tend to think that their opinions are the only good opinions and bash others when their opinions don't match.  The term "oldie" just refers to the fact that most of these strongly opinionated active members have been members for a while.  I'm a newb (I've been a member a while, but don't post often), but I think it's funny when people make fun of stupid newbs.  If a person states their opinion as if it were fact, they tend to think that their opinion is a fact, and that makes them rude to other people who happen to know the difference between opinion and fact.

Also, if people can't laugh at themselves, what gives them the right to laugh at others?

And at the risk of being attacked myself, it looks like all the ladies who are "out to get" the orriginal poster are people with gold and silver medals.  Ironic?  yes.
