Staten Island - rehearsal dinner

Fi and I are starting to think of places for our rehearsal dinner.  We are looking for some place that is not to expensive. We are getting married at our lady queen of peace and most of the wedding party is staying at the Hilton

Where did/is everyone having there?

I had my rehearsal dinner at Oriental Plaza on Richmond Avenue.  They have private rooms on the second floor and on their lower level.

We had about 35 people. I think we paid about $18-$20 per person. That included soup, an appetizer plate, 5 different dishes served family style, and ice cream/jello for dessert served family style.  I can't remember how much it was for unlimited soda.

The food was excellent and so was the service. They give a lot for the price.

did you look into Lorenzo's that's attached to the Hilton?  We got married at Nicotra's but our church was in NJ so we didn't have the reheasal there.  Wondering if they'll cut you a better deal for keeping it with them....

    DaNoi is good too

Check out Brioso on New Dorp Lane - it is blocks away from your church. My family and I go alot and it is fabulous.  There is tiered pricing options for their party menu if you would like to save (or spend more) money.  Though it still may be a little pricy, maybe they can work with you.  My shower was there.

We had a friend's rehearsal also at OLQP and then dinner at Oriental Plaza. It was good.

King Chef is also walking distance from your church on New Dorp Lane.  It is chinese and I'm sure they have a party menu that is cost effective.

La Strada is also walking distance from your church on New Dorp Lane - their party menu starts at $29 according to their website... not sure how good the food is though.

We had ours at DaNoi on Victory and loved it.  I've heard that the location on Fingerboard has more space though.

We are going to have ours on Victory most likely.  My fi and I frequent Fingerboard often.  There is a separate party room there which is a good idea for the OP.

I have been to 3 rehearsal dinners at La Strada.  All were great, the food and setup.
