I'm at work. I'm bored. I'm thinking about dipping out early, since I stayed late earlier in the week, but that's dependant on how much work I get done this morning. Which would probably be accomplished if I stayed away from here, but whatever.
Anyone have exciting plans for the weekend?

Sneak out a little early - it's Friday. ;-) We won't tell.
Phantom is in town until the 25th. I'm thinking about taking some of the money we're getting back for the car that DH totaled and getting tickets. Money's been so tight lately that I can't even remember the last time we went on a real date.

But first I have to go to a funeral. My host siblings' father killed himself the day before yesterday, which is pretty crap. I didn't know him well because he and their mom are divorced (and I lived with the mom), but having lost my own mom, I am just so sad for my friends because I have an idea of how they feel. He'd struggled with depression for years and years, so it's not a total shock, but it's still awful, obviously. A bunch of us were over there last night, and I'm leaving work early for the funeral today. Ugh.

Work is really slow today. I'm killing time until 2 when I can go pick up one of my girlfriends in MA -- she's staying for the weekend. So the hours are seeming to go by even slower lol.
Books read in 2012: 21/50
Emily - Have fun at the wedding! That must be really hard on your friend, I'm sorry
Stina - I can't view the link on the work computer, but I'll look when I get home

All of the work I have to do is so tedious and boring today. My friends came over last night after happy hour tacos at this place called Papacitos (Stina's least fave ever) and we played rock band until late. Y'all I am so good at singing Bad Romance it's hella insane!!
My friend told me this hilarious story about how she thought I had a conversation with her about something, but then she realized she had just read one of my posts on The Knot!
I have a lot of energy today! Tomorrow we are going out for a friend's birthday and Sunday the FILs are coming in to the Curious George exhibit at my museum and to take me out for my Birthday (in 2 weeks) but I won't see them before then.
Im at work, but its Field Day, so there are 1000 middle school students on campus. I get to go help officiate the tug of war competition this afternoon, so I'm trying to finish up a lot of work first. We do get to wear jeans and t-shirts today, though. Big Plus!
Tomorrow is my appt with the florist. I think I'm just going to give her the budget and some colors and let her run with it. Decor and accessorizing are not my callings in life, so I think I'll leave all that to the experts. Nevertheless, I am so excited to check one more thing off my list. We'll check off the cake next week and then we are almost done!
I have work to do but i'm prolonging it. It's really nice outside today so i'd rather be outside playing.
I'm working in the yard to rip out a few more bushes, 10 to be exact, and then planting flowers. I should probably mow the lawn but I may leave that for FI to do. He's working all weekend so BOO. If it rains I still have some unpacking from our move and cleaning to do.
Plans for this weekend? Ze moomba (my mom, who let's me call her all kinds of unfortunate nicknames like "ze moomba") is coming down on Saturday to celebrate my birthday. I'm pretty excited to get her out of the house and away from scummy soon-to-be ex-stepdad.
Other than that, I'm lame. I'll probably put a dent in my netflix account, plant some veggies and enjoy the warm weather.
It's a girl!
I may go to a coed bachelor/bachelorette party for BF cousin and his fiancee this weekend. I only met cousin once @ Easter and he was pretty quiet, but I am good friends with the girl cousins and it gives me something to do and a way to get to know them. Seems weird for coed and their wedding isn't until June 5, but I guess I wont deny a party!
There might be some mulching and fishing to be done this weekend too though, so that will be a nice change of pace.

We just got our Softball Schedule and the comissioner listed us as "Jew Museum" Not "Jewish Museum" not "The Jewish Museum" "Jew Museum"....hahaha...oh, boy.

Haha, whoops!
I'm at work now, about to get busy, and heading to Whistler this weekend.
Have a good one, all!
Ahem. Sorry.
This weekend we'll be running around and getting started on the last minute to-do list. I'm hoping we make enough progress that we can do a half day at Disneyland or Knott's on Monday.
This is a belated married bio, with no reviews yet because I'm lazy.
Sometimes I feel like people think that brides are delicate little flower princesses who get all dressed up and pretty for one special moment of their dreams, when really they're just normal people who just happen to be getting married. Things shouldn't have to be sugar-coated for grown-ass women. -mstar284
Jew Museum is a pretty awkward slip up. My friend in HR was like "At least it wasn't Jewseum"

Alright all, I'm off to the funeral and probably won't be around much this weekend since the wedding is slightly OOT (an hour away, spending tomorrow night at a friend's beach house closer to the venue). Have a good one!

Aerin- are you super excited?! A week!
Have fun, Emily!
Can I go to happy hour, yet?
Then it's clean the house time.
I subbed a half day today in second grade, and am just lounging on the couch until I go to a wedding rehearsal for a wedding I'm singing in tomorrow. I have no idea who's getting married, I hardly know the music because all the rehearsals were scheduled while I was at work, and it will be my first time attending a mass, so it will definitely be interesting.
BUT, after the wedding tomorrow FI and I are going to see a movie, so I'm excited about that. :-)
I'm crazy excited! Everything's really starting to fall into place, and I'm at the point where I'm not taking on any new projects that aren't strictly essential. So the little mini cheesecakes in the shape of wedding cakes I was going to make and individually decorate? Yeah, no. We leave for Vegas on Wednesday night, so pretty much everything has to get done by then.
Gotta, the hat is still in progress. It's a little larger than I hoped, and not quite the right color, but as I mentioned, I'm in the "Screw it, it'll be fine, get me a beer" phase of planning.
