This is a two-fold post....

I'm starting to look into transportation...

1) Can anyone give me some good recommendations on inexpensive transportation? I'm thinking town cars, limos, etc....

2) Why does this seem so confusing to me? If the bridal party rides to the wedding in the limos (for example, myself and bridesmaids in one limo and FI and groomsmen in another), is it normal for the bridal party to not ride in the limo at the end of the reception? The only weddings I've been to where I was part of the bridal party was one where no transportation was provided or buses were provided to and from...Can anyone explain this to me so I can stop feeling so confused!?!?! Maybe I am just making this way too complicated....any advice is greatly appreciated!!!!

    I'm confused about it too!  What was explained to me was that you  get limos for like 3 hours or so.  These limos take you/ the wedding party from where each group is getting ready to the church and waits there until after the ceremony and takes you all for pictures and the reception and then leave.  And for after the reception you can get a transfer for the bridal party and you two.

    I think that would be costly in our situation...mainly because we are only going from the hotel to the site (our ceremony and reception are at the same place) and then back....

    Along with that, I know that most of the bridal party will have a significant other that would be coming to the ceremony/reception....

    It just seems like such as easy thing, yet it is so complex for some reason!

    If your wedding ceremony and reception at the same site, all you really need to ask the companies for is a transfer. This usually costs about 125 or 150 per limo that you get. For a friend of mine's wedding, what we did is that some people drovve their car over to the site in the morning of the wedding so that when the reception was over, they had a way home.

    I'm in the same situation as you with my ceremony and reception being in 1 place so what i plan on doing is a transfer for both the BMs and I, as well as the GM and FI, and then for us to get to our hotel suite, we may have a car rented and have my brother in law drive us home or pay for a chauffeur to bring us there.
