So this is kind of a long, let out some stress type post. I apologize in advance!
My fiance and I met in Orlando, and we have lived there, together, for the past two years. I had been planning our wedding since we got engaged last April. After making deposits on both the caterer and the venue, meeting with the florist, securing the music for the ceremony (which thankfully didnt need a deposit), and finding an amazing officiant who we really connected with, I got a request from my mother that I really couldnt refuse. (I was raised in a really tight-knit family, that I know would do anything and everything for me and My mother is my best friend.) She wants me to come back home, because my grandmother, who I am also extremely close with, is slipping away mentally, not eating, and is just not who she used to be. After talking about it with my fiance, we decided to move back to where I grew up so that I can assist my family.
As you can imagine, I had to cancel the whole wedding I had planned in Orlando, and I now have to plan an entirely new one in a little over 9 months.
The idea of that is extremely overwhelming, and I guess I could just use a few words of encouragement or just some reassurance that it can be done? I dont even know where to start.
Oh and to top it off, all of the money I put down on deposits was non-refundable. So that cut my total budget down by about $2,000.
