  What county are you in? (Bucks?)  Unfortunately, you can't go to the courthouse for your SS card.  Bring your original marriage license (or a certified copy, if you don't have that or don't know what it is, then just bring the original), your current SS card and current driver's license.

  Dont know where you are.. but there is a ss office in Fairless Hills on Old Lincoln Highway that I went to.

  I am in Perkasie, Bucks County. And I can't find my current SS card! Eeek!

  Do you have something else that proves citizenship?  (ie your brth certificate or passport)  If so, you should be OK.

  I hadnt had mine for about 10 years prior to changing it.. Just needed my license and marriage certificate.

  did you wait until you got back from the honeymoon?  how long did it take to be legal?  Can you set and effective date? 
  We already got married but are having a wedding on our anniversary in October.  I thought it would be great if I could have my name change effective on that day too.
