Wedding Woes

another wedding woe(ish)

hmmm...am i the only person who thinks my MOH does have some duties!? see i feel that accepting to be someones maid of honor is something more than just standing there looking sexy!! What exactly? you may ask.... I dont know, but i just feel like the MOH should be the one person who actually cares about your big day almost as much as you do (aside from the future MR. of course) but realisticlly all my fiance put in on was hes not wearing a boutannier on his tux, and he wants to play hank williams jr. at the reception lol...
IDK i just would like it is my MOH would occasionally ask me about the wedding, and my ideas for stuff (lots of diy) i dont "expect" her to do specific things, and i dont get mad if she cant come along with me to look at wedding stuff, i know she does what she can. I feel let down in the aspect that she has put the momentus occasion on the back burner... We have been friends for ten years (7th grade) i guess the expectation that i did have was for some damn excitment!!!
Does anyone here want to pretend to be excited with me!!?? LOL

Read my post about my MOH, "Worst MOH Ever!" I'm so disappointed beyond words. I'm just ready to cry, well, I have been crying, so I don't know what else is left to do.

I'd much rather pretend to roll my eyes at you.

Oh wait, I'm doing that for real.    LOL.

    I'll pretend to be excited! :D  :D   :D  :D  :D  :D

I feel as the MOH in my best friend's wedding that I had more duties than just showing up and looking good (not that she insisted, but that's what I think a MOH should be) and I think I did those duties quite well, so I'm good at being excited for other peoples' big day! :)

Unfortunately, some MOHs take a turn for the worse and decide not to be excited for you or care that they're in the wedding or about your wedding so they avoid you instead of trying to assist to grant reassurance for your upcoming day which is what most of us want not for them to do anything. Some MOHs get jealous. Most MOHs tend to be so-called best friends or someone close. Cant expect everyone to change for the better when you do. Consider yourself blessed, I'd trade shoes any day.

You think your MOH should be more involved in the wedding than the other person who's getting married that day (your FI)?  Yeah, you're crazy.

This sounds like she is putting in a resume to be your new MOH. <img src="http://cdn.cl9.vanillaforums.com/downloaded/ver1.0/content/scripts/tinymce/plugins/emotions/images/smiley-tongue-out.gif" border="0" alt="Tongue out" title="Tongue out" />
