Printing on paper that's too small for my printer?

I'm going the DIY route for my invitations with either a trifold or a bifold pocketfold. For the RSVP, I'm going to simply insert it between somewhere. And it's with the RSVP card that I have a question with:

My concern is that my home printer won't print on paper that's too small. But I don't actually know the limit.

What is your advice on printing on paper that is too small? Is the only choice to print on bigger paper and then cut each one down? Or can Staples or Office Depot print on small paper for me?

Only way to know is to test it out, really. I suppose you could Google your printer model to try to find the smallest dimensions it recommends.

I've printed on 3.75 x 4 stock (place cards unfolded) with no issue on a Canon iP6700D and an Epson CX5000

I printed on some pretty small stuff. I couldn't feed the RSVP envelopes as envelopes but when i fed them in like a document and formated them as a document in Word instead of an envelope I had not problems.
