Wedding Woes

things

1) I paid $903 American dollars to have the A/C repaired on my car. It works now, but only on the highest setting and the engine is being wonky. Blerg. H had Wednesday and Thursday off, so we'll be taking my car back in. Again.

2a) I saw a new doctor today. Her nurse asked me to sign the Patient Privacy notice reciept without actually giving me the notice. I pointed that out and she gave me the notice. On another day, I could have made a big deal out of this.

2b) I like this doc and she'll do well woman exams, so I think I am going to ditch my OB/ I feel like my OB just left us twisting in the wind after H's first semen analysis, so I am more than happy to say goodbye to her and her vagina factory waiting room.

2c) This doc looked at me through squinty eyes and told me I was weird after I tan down everything that has been going on (infertility, insulin resistance, my stomach issue, etc). She says it might all be caused by one thing that we can treat and then I can go off all of my meds (of which I only take three). A CBC and a whole slew of other blood tests were ordered. This concerns me...if you poke around for enough things, you are bound to find something.

Check back with me in three business days when I find out my liver is failing or I have some autoimmune disorder.

2d) She asked if we were interested in adoption. I said we found out that there was NO WAY were having kids right about when my mom was diagnosed. And since then, the baby issues have taken a back seat. She said to keep her informed because some times things come up. She had a patient whose neice was having twins and wanted to place them for adoption. She had a friend who wanted to adopt. Her friend now has those twins.

I told her to put our names on that list. Honestly, I feel like it is going to take some sort of event like the one described above for us to have kids. My mom said for me to get a new doctor because sometimes things like this happen. Who knows? NOLA, is this Jesus?

3a) H is ridiculously happy at his job, but he has started talking like a redneck. I know he works out in the country and his friends back home talk like that, but no. Hells no.

3b) H has been taking the dogs to work and IT IS GLORIOUS!!! I have the house to myself when I get ready and sometimes they aren't home yet when I get off of work. I MISS HAVING A HOUSE TO MYSELF AND THIS IS AWESOME.

Ditto Wzz, generally all good news.

Don't stress over the blood work - you just had gobs of it done and nothing wonky came up.  Also, what's the worst that can happen - you figure out what's making your body crazy and fix it?  Easy peasy, missy.

    I agree with Nico.

Deep breath and no Debbie Downer thoughts. Your Doc sounds like she's reasonable and optimistic and that's HUGE.

That excites me.  Wouldnt' it be great if all your problems could be linked to something easily treatable?  Min, as cliche as it sounds you may not believe in Jesus but he believes in you.

I agree the a/c is the only downer.  I like the things I'm hearing about this new doc.  It would be wonderful if she could draw a little blood and make you feel fantastic!
