Photographer Recs

Hi,  We are looking for a photographer in or around the Charleston area.  Looking to spend around $2k give or take total on photography (obviously less is better!).  I really love the style of Jeremy Harwell  but I know we could never afford him.  Any suggestions?  Thanks!

    We had Jenna-Marie Photography for my daughter's wedding.  She is fabulous to work with, very talented and very affordable.   I would check her out....I promise you, you will not be disappointed!!

    Actually alot of the photographers know each other, some have apprentices.  If you really like Jeremy Harwell, I would call or email and say "My budget can't afford you, but I love your style...would you be willing to recommend anyone?"  That's how I shortened my list of photographers.
    My only other rec would be to stay away from Amy Prikazsky, I ended up being disappointed. :-(

    You never know you can't afford them until you ask!  I made that mistake and assumed that Richard Bell Photography was out of my budget but I later saw their prices and was totally wrong!  Some will do custom packages to meet your budget also so it never hurts to ask!  I don't know what kind of style you want, but Chi Photography is great and of course Richard Bell Photography!

    We are using Chi Photography  http://www.chiphotographyofcharleston.com .

      We looked at CVI photography and a little out of our budget.  I think there are quite a few photographers in the area that are priced extremely high for what they offer.  I found that just paying a higher amount didn't always mean you were going to get great photos.  Good Luck!!

    Thanks guys!  I have been looking at some of these and will email them.  Right now I think my favorite that is available is Jolie Connor, she is a bit more expensive but I love her photos.  Has anyone worked with her?

    I'm using Jennings King Photography. She's so sweet. She trained with Riverland & Juliet elizabeth so has that awesome photojournalistic style. She customized a package for me so it would fit my budget.

    Hello. I used Sea Island Studios. Wendy is absolutely amazing. She gave us a great deal on a package that included an engagement shoot and guest sign in album, which I LOVE! Ask her to show you one. People still talk about how much they loved her personality and her photography style. I recommend her to everyone I know!     I would check out Gillian Ellis Photography www.gillianellis.com. She has very reasonable rates and is super friendly and easy to work with. She gave us our photos only a week after our wedding.

    he can work in our budget and so far Ilike his stuff.  Does any one have any information about him or know someone that has used him before?  We haven't signed a contract yet but I think we may by the end of the weekend.  Thanks again everybody!
