    No, but it's very easy to do on your own. Don't pay for a service.

    I didn't use it ~ I did it on my own and was literally done with everything in a few hours (DMV, social security, banks, credit cards, HR@work, etc). Def don't pay for a service, it was really easy to do!

    thanks girls!  Where do I start?  Dmv or social security? Does it even matter?

    It doesn't matter which you do first. I did the DMV first. All they needed was a copy of the marriage certificate and ID (my old ID was sufficient, you could also use a passport).
    Social Security needed to see ID and marriage cert as well.

    I would start w/ DMV because your social security card counts as one of your forms of ID - when I went to social security they destroyed my card, gave me a receipt and said I will get a new one in the mail in 2 weeks. That's just my opinion though. Good luck!

    Not sure what you mean by that... the social security card is not required by the DMV to change your name.
