• H could be Mogo, a Green lantern who's also a planet., and you could be Carol Ferris from the GL comics and wear a cute 50's vintage outfit. She doesn't dress like a skank.

• Oh i like hero/villian.  That's not cutesy, but goes together.

<div>I can't think of who I would go as. I can't make my brain work very well right now.</div>
• Special I would go.  I love a costume party!

Not sure of the superhero theme, because it seems like there might be duplicates, there are only so many superheros in the world.
• Fi helps run a comic-con. That's my excuse.
Wedding Countdown Ticker
• Wow you guys are good at this costume thing.  I love the superhero/villian thoughts!
• There's a Simpsons episode where Homer becomes a masked vigilante called Pie Man. Is that superhero-y enough?

I like all of your suggestions so far.
• Yes, I really like the superhero/villain theme.

H is so much better versed in superheroes than I am. I watch the movies for the eye candy.
• That's hilarious, special.  There won't be a million pie-mans there, unlike, say batman.
• In Response to Re:Sunday Evening:
Fi helps run a comiccon. That's my excuse. Posted by zizibet
Which one? I used to go to all of the east coast ones. But now I have adult responsibilties and choose bills over cons. Someday I will get to San Diego CC though!

• Daff - I think for the same job a man shouldn't get paid a higher salary than a woman.  If the woman takes time off unpaid for maternity etc, then for the year, she would make less due to the time she took off.  I don't think she should make less to begin with though just by virtue of the fact that she's a woman and might take time off and then even less if/when she actually does take said time off.
• Muni, are those storm clouds?  They're gorgeous (I have a weird fascination with clouds).  Love that picture.

<div>There are a number of different ways to compare the wage gap. Most of the frequently cited studies compare the overall earnings of a man versus the overall earnings of a woman. Since men don't typically take time off from work to have kids or work part time, they tend to earn more.</div><div>
</div><div>Also, women traditionally choose different careers. More women are teachers, and more men are investment bankers. Investment bankers tend to make more than teachers.</div><div>
</div><div>When a male and female in the same position are compared to each other, the wage gap closes by a lot. Recently, I've heard that in such a comparison, the wage gap is significantly lower than general estimates. It's still there, which sucks, but it's getting much better.</div>

I totally see Jesus in them.  Or not really, just half a face, but it's way  more dramatic to say it's Jesus.

• Loopy, although that could be a reason for the unequal pay, it is still horse poop. My boss took paternity leave when he was working for a NYC law firm and that's the reason he left. It was very stupid on the law firms part to hold It over his head. But this is why I love working for him now!

• And just a short rant?  My CC has fraudulent charges on it, my work server isn't working (and I have work to do), and I have nothing to take to work with me for lunch tomorrow.  HMPF.

I totally agree with everything you've said here. It also illustrates why I resent being lumped in with other women of childbearing age and have probably suffered some disadvantages due to the actions of other women.

• Muni, I just see Mickey Mouse, lol.

I suck at finding things in clouds.
• I'll tell Jesus to fix that for you.  I've got an inside line with him.  He posed for my wedding photos and all.
