The Cotillion - regal/tiara or crown/tiara ballroom?

Hey ladies - My fiance and I are anticipating 250-300 guests @ the cotillion in palatine.

We were wondering - which ballroom is better? 

Crown is in the front with the french doors & by the bathrooms and first thing you see when you walk in.
Regal is in the back, but has the staircase in the ballroom and beautiful head table backdrop.

Which, also, do you think will you hear the least amt of noise/music from a party next door?

    I have never been to a reception there but I did go look at both rooms when I was searching for my venue. I personally liked the regal since it was more secluded in the back.

    we just had our wedding at The Cotillion in July and LOVED IT! We had the Crown room which was a perfect size for us (we had about 175 there). I really liked we were the first room coming into the hall so I would recommend the Crown/Tiara room over the Regal/Tiara room.

    There was another wedding in the Regal room the night of our wedding and I didn't notice at all, both with the sound or the amound of people around that night. I never even saw the other bride!

    One thing I would advise is to NOT use The Baking Institute as your cake, they ruined mine and I'm still trying to move past it. The other bakery they work with is Domino's Pastries.

    We really loved The Cotillion and all of our guests raved about the atmosphere, the food, everything really. PM me if you want more info. :)

    We booked with The Cotillion for our 5/5/12 wedding and we're using the Crown room.  I, like MrsPaps, personally like the fact that it was the first room that you see coming into the hall so my vote would be for the Crown/Tiara. =)
