A Royal Wedding Next Year

Re: A Royal Wedding Next Year

• I'm totally and utterly jealous.
I've Got the Wedding Bell Blues
• I agree that Harry is quite the Hottie for a ginger and William is getting that receding hairline from his father. However I think he is still pretty good looking and they make a lovely couple. I think he chose well in her. I have heard that he doesn't want to be king though and Harry wants to be king. Would be interesting since so many think William would make a good king. I am just happy both of them have championed their mother's causes and their own.

I can't wait to see this wedding, especially her gown! It is said they don't want to get married at Westminster or St. Paul's Cathedral because it reminds him of his mother's marriage and funeral. They think he will get married at Windsor, which is the Queens favorite residence and William spent a lot of time there since he went to school nearby.

Can't wait!
• True! I can't believe his looks are "BLAH" now... I think Kate is gooorgeous! She will be a very pretty queen one day!
• I watched his father and mother wed on tv as a 8 year old little girl I thought she was so gorgeous I loved her gown. When I heard Diana died , I was just devasted I was in my twenties, she was a icon I agree with former post., She made alot a difference for alot of people. I bought some of her books . To remmember her by. When I heard this wow, I was so happy for Will and Kate, and happy royal family would actually have some new happiness considering all the tragedy they endured. Not sure I am keen on him giving her Diana's ring I understand why he did it but. I can't help but think of her. Wonder how others felt about the ring thing to. Kate is alovely lady though and is a perfect choice.Cool
• Oh, royal weddings... yep, my fiance is hotter than William... but I haven't seen Harry recently. Kate is pretty, but basically this means she'll be queen someday, right? she strikes me as a princess but not a queen.
• I think it would be neat to share your wedding day with them. I hope they pick June 11th (but they probably won't due to Prince Phillip's Bday). lol.
But when the Queen and Prince Phillip had their 50th Wedding Anniversary they invidted 50 couples to the palace for tea who had been married on the same day....so you never know. :-)
• I absolutely love them both. I always loved Diana and I am so happy to see William with someone equally as beautiful and poised. And I'm happy to report that both of our fiances have great taste in jewelry - I love my diamond and sapphire ring too!!! Give me a a few days and I WILL have that blue Issa dress :)
• My feelings are spilt... I was excited to hear Will finally popped the question, they make such a stylish couple. I am also very worried about when they'll schedule this. My fiance is from Bristol, England and we're having our wedding next July in Somerset. If they plan is anytime near that I'm afraid what'll happen to the hotel and airfare prices!! Quite a bit of my family is coming over, guess I better get them motivated to book now :)
• My parents were married the same day as Charles and Diana, and now I'm getting married (in London) next July.. what are the odds?
I will be annoyed if its on the same day as our wedding.. talk about stealing our thunder! Not to mention the hotel and airfare prices...
My fiance often gets told he looks like William too, (without the receding hairline). I don't see it but he's still my Prince! Haha
• I'm so excited to see their wedding, but am I the only one who really hopes it doesn't land on my same wedding day? lol.
• TOTALLY MY POINT!!!!!!!!!!!

[QUOTE]I heard he was waiting until he was 30, but he'll be 29 next June (he's a month younger than I am). I don't particularly care for Kate Middleton. I can't tell you why. It must be hard though - there are so many limits on their relationship. They can't live together, they're always in the spotlight. And it's not like dating someone who CHOSE to be famous though acting or music. He just IS a member of the most famous royal family in the world.

Actually they do live together & did live together while in school, too.

I was really sad by the news simply because all my dreams of marrying William and being a princess went away! :(
Although I guess they were going away on my big day anyway lol!
But I'm very happy for them. I think Kate is a wonderful girl ... as much as we know of her. & I think she'll be a great princess and queen someday.
• Hahahaha I think that was the dream of a lot of girls, including me... but I agree that he have changed a lot... :-/
• I think I might hold off picking a dress until I see what Kate wears! Those big weddings change the dress styles dramatically! Di's dress, Caroline Bisset-Kennedy's dress...(Oh and JFK Jr, totally my "one that got away" ha ha).

I can't wait to see what she's wearing!!

I think she has handled the pressures really well, the tabloids in the UK are vultures and have stalked her day and night since she met the Prince. And Wills was waiting at the request of the Queen. Crap, I think I might pay more attention to this stuff than I thought I did!

[QUOTE]He finally proposed! They will get married 30 years after his parents, and I hear he didn't have to shop around for engagement rings ....that he presented Kate with Princess Diana's amazing sapphire. Good luck to them!

I was shocked by how many people were outraged by this. I think passing down an engagement ring is a lovely tradition, but people are going nuts about it. Some people think he's being cheap, and other people think he's dishonoring Di. One person even wrote that Kate should have turned him down until he went and bought her own ring! I think it's incredibly sweet and touching. I used my mother's stone in my ring, and I'd slap anyone who side-eyed me about it or tried to give me grief.

• I fear Kate doesn't fully understand what she's getting into. (Diana had absolutely no clue.) There is no chance in hell that I would want to marry a royal. Diana experienced hell and Kate may know the same. Being under constant scrutiny is no life.
• Of cours he is, he's the second son. Think of Prince Andrew vs. Prince Charles.
• is it silly that I'm so excited about the prospect of an actual royal wedding?! I absolutely adore Prince William and Kate.... silly? Maybe... but they're my age and they're going to get married in West Minster Abbey! Oh how I love a good roamance! It is sad though... I always had daydreams of marrying the prince.... there aren't very many official ones left in real life, you know.

One of the girls on the December '10 board said the wedding is April 29, on her birthday. She's going to have a princess theme birthday :)
