My wedding is a long ways off still, but I'm enjoying poking around for fun ideas during my down time as my life is about to be much too hectic to give this a second thought for quite a while.
That said, while our wedding is going to be mostly retro/vintagey in nature I'm looking for some ideas for integrating a math theme into it as well. Our date is 3.14.15 (PI day!) and my Caucasian self will be wedding my Chinese, math degree holding, FI.
Any ideas are welcome, I'm having a hard time finding things that I can do that are fun and cute but not...ridiculous or just plain cheezy.
Re: Math Inspiration?
I love this idea! Do some searches for Fibonacci sequence in nature. It turns up all kinds of objects that could be used for centerpieces/flowers and is a subtle tip of the hat to your mathematically inclined FI. Examples include sea shells, pine cones, succulents and numerous kinds of flowers.
My FI just chimed in that since you are getting married on 3.14.15, you could serve pie in addition to or instead of cake.

Also being its his side more with the math maybe you could incorporate it in his bout somehow... I've seen some awesome untraditional bouts lately which is a totally fun way to incorporate a theme into the guys wardrobe
