The only problem I have really had was with the way somebody has responded was the harsh name calling. I was wrong! I got what I deserved and, yes, even from you. The name calling was the only thing that I thought was out of line. But I suppose I began this thread out of line as well. I am paying for that.

I will do that. This is a learning experience for me. It's a whole different culture group for me that seems to be incredibly different than what I am used to. I will do my best to get used to it and do my best to please. Being snarky is not something I am generally proud of. This wedding was really the only time I have ever been so in awe of what was going on around me and I have not before or since been so snarky. Except perhaps in this post. As for the swearing, I try my hardest not to swear (for multiple reasons) and do tend to get a bit uncomfortable when people use such words. But I will try to toughen up. From everything else I can see about this, you <em>are</em> a good group of people. Lastly, I like that you wrote "betch." That did make me smile a bit.

I figured "culture group" would be the best choice of words. As for my age, well, I'd rather just let you judge that for yourself. I realize that this entire board and entire situation I come off as immature and horrid, but I have always been stunted in that way and very naive, so lets just leave it at that. I am already ashamed of myself enough.

If you really must know, I am 28. As I said, I have always been WAY behind everybody else in the maturity department and my naivete does not seem to go away. I have tried desperately to match everyone else and get up to the levels that are expected of one my age, but no matter what I do, it doesn't seem to be the right choice. I do what I can to get by. That's the best I can manage for the moment, I suppose.

I don't mean this in a mean way, but I really don't think you're trying to be yourself. Being yourself should require zero effort. Being naive isn't a crime (if so I'd be spending a life in prison). I think you were just trying a little too hard, which happens. I used to crap on myself all the time. :) Just not the poo kind. That I have control over. I have had friends give me long speeches about how hard I was on myself. I haven't been that way forever and this has brought that out. But maybe I needed it. In my attempt to better myself it seems there was a lot I missed.
