[QUOTE]Don't ask us, ask your BMs what color they would prefer and maybe ask your florist which color bouquets would be easier or less expensive. I was shocked how pricy BM bouquets were, but saved a lot of money going with seasonal flowers, even though they didn't exactly match our colors.

<div>my BMs are completely fine with both colors and both flower choices are seasonal. Im just trying to figure out what will work out for a winter wedding..</div>
  • If I were one of your BMs I'd MUCH prefer the blue. I would never wear a coral dress that bright again. The blue one I could probably have altered into a cocktail dress once the wedding was over.

Colour doesn't really matter for the season, but coral always makes me feel summery so it would seem off to me in January unless you're having a destination wedding.

And ditto PP, don't get attached to a specific colour of flowers until you find out the cost!

I don't know if your color scheme in general is particularly "Winter". It reminds me of what might be used for a tropical destination wedding. If it's what you like, then go for it. However, if you want your bridesmaids to wear something as specific as coral or turquoise shoes, you should be paying for them.

p.s. I'm not entirely sure if PacificPlex is a legit company or a knockoff site....so be careful with that in general. You could easily find dresses in those colors/price range at David's Bridal.</div>
  • I think the blue would be more versitle, and probably easier to match coral or peach flowers with. Though, I do agree that they aren't winter colors. Also, since the wedding is in January (I'm assuming 2014), you probably want to wait 7 months or so before figuring this out. Alot will depend on the location, time of day, and budgets of the girls.

  • I think the blue is more appropriate for the season. And coral flowers would be fine since they're really just an accent.  But by all means - you dont have to match your wedding colors to the season. Do what you want.

When is your wedding? January 2013 or 2014. If its 2014 I would really wait to even think about this.

I'm getting married next fall and I've changed my mind three times about colors already.
  • I would do blue dresses with coral flowers : Not so much because of the season bc I agree the colors dont need to coordinate with the season but it is a much more 'wearable' color on most skin tones. That coral would make me look like casper. Lol.
