TGIF!

Re: TGIF!

• Sco, I went to see the blossoms last year and they were breathtaking. I heard that some of the trees were damaged with all the snowstorms this year, I hope they still have the same effect!

Oh bother. I just looked at the train schedule. That festival is ONE town over. It's a three minute train ride. I'll be safe for three minutes, right?

ETA: Bah, Google Earth shows it's 2 miles from the train station. I wouldn't walk that alone at night. Off to badger Ollie!

• Yes, aMrs, you'll be safe for 3 minutes. Seriously, go! But take a friend if you can.
• It's SPRING BREAK DAY ONE!!!! My grades are done so I don't have to go in today for the workday.

and yes, I meant to use caps and exclamation points ;-)

• A 3 minute train ride? Go for it, aMrs!

Morning, ladies. Navy, I hope everything goes well for you this weekend. Sco, enjoy the cherry blossoms. Fischey, hope the golfing is good.

I'm about half-dead this morning. We were told to expect 30-40 people at the soup kitchen last night. We fed 60. We ran out of food, so I had to make a lightning run to the store for more bread and pimento cheese for sandwiches. We had to add more milk to the soup when a family of 11 came in about 20 minutes before we were supposed to close. My whole body aches.

So today? I'm teaching all day, tutoring right after school, picking up the girls from school, making a run home to get more clothes and all of my baking tools (Kitchen Aid, sheet pan, spatulas, decorating tips, and cookbook) to make a birthday cake for an 88 year-old woman tomorrow. White cake with raspberry curd filling, Yum!
• Looking for a sundress tonight, date night with Mr. Arbs tomorrow, and then a brunch GTG on Sunday with some people from my club board. Good weekend.

• Sara, I don't know how you do it all. You're SuperWoman!

Good morning, B! Welcome to Spring Break!
• Happy wedding weekend, Navy!

Scotty, happy belated birthday!

• Sco, I'm so tired these days I don't know if I will make it through today without napping through my lunch hour. I've been making a conscious effort not to whine about my money problems here, but I'll be mighty glad when my ex-husband finds fulltime employment and starts paying what he owes in child support. As it is, I'm cramming in enough extra hours, by tutoring after school, giving up my planning period to tutor in the alternative school, and working as a homebound teacher for one of my students, to be cramming 6 days worth of hours into 5 days. Thank GOD I've only got 1 more week before spring break.

Hi, B! How's Baby B doing these days? I'm uber jealous of spring break.
• ANDPLUSALSO Today we got Mr. Arb's paycheck and our federal tax return. My bank account thanks me.

[QUOTE]Oh my gosh, it's already Cherry Blossom season? Holy crap! That knights festival sounds awesome! Why doesn't he like to take the train? And my theory is that no one wants to be pregnant in the summer, so they all try to have their babies in the springtime. It's a solid theory.

When we start TTC, I'm planning on this. And to NOT have my baby born around Christmas. I'm not even kidding. Hahaha. :)
• Kate, they say peak bloom is next week, but who cares if you're a few days early?

Sara, that's crazy. You need a break. Seriously. Oh and to get paid :D
• Holy crap, you guys. Look at my ticker! Where did the time go?

Baby B is doing great - she's wiggling all around as I type. I passed my glucose screening and keep getting great BP readings. We're working on the upstairs rooms this week by getting rid of carpet and installing wood floors. We'll have a guest room/office and a Baby B room!

OH YUCK!!! I can only imagine...

I went to Rosen for Hospitality Management - let me tell you how much fun it was driving on that side of town from Thanksgiving thru Christmas. BLECH!

Goodmorning!! With all this cake talk I want to point out that since my birthday is on Christmas, I NEVER get cakes. I did when I was a small kid, and when I was 18 and complained about never getting a cake. I have gotten so few cakes on my birthday I would wonder what was wrong if I did get one. Another reason NOT to have your kid on christmas.

[QUOTE]In Response to Re: TGIF! : Aww. Poor Nebb. My grandmother was born on Christmas Day, and I'm convinced that is the reason she's a spiteful, mean, hateful woman. (not that you are, of course). I told DH that I absolutely did NOT want to have a Christmas baby, and that we should just refrain from any sort of intimacy from Feb - April. Obviously that went over well.

I actually really am in some cases, I try to rebel against it but it seems to be an underlying trait in me.
• I have an appointment tomorrow to file my taxes and then we're going to continue to register. Then on sunday we're helping Ry's sister move out of her apartment.. I really wish I could stay home and get our apartment cleaned up.

• Hello ladies! I feel like I'm already having a rotten, no good, awful day. (Ok, not that bad, but I'm not happy). I didn't get enough sleep last night, I forgot my make up so I either have to go back home and back to this end of town and miss dinner with the in-laws, or buy some new that I really can't afford. I didn't have time for breakfast and I have a splitting headache. Not to mention my car was covered in ice this morning. UGH. Oh, and my favorite person at work is just up and quitting so now work won't be quite as fun.

On the good side, my shower is tomorrow!

Nebb, my dad's birthday is 12/26. His first wife's was 12/24. They were always disappointed as kids. When they got married, they decided to celebrate their birthdays in June. Worked out really well for them.

CONGRATS NAVY!!! I hope you have a great weekend! Be sure and tell me all about the Dream when you get home!

I am surprisingly 100% okay with this and think it's freaking awesome. Hahaha.
• We did awesome for my dad one year. Since June is technically his 'half' birthday, we threw him half a birthday party. Half a cake, half a tie, half dollar (that was mine, and awesome. Real silver in his birth year), half a card, etc. He got the other half of everything on his real birthday. He said it's one of the most fun birthdays he's ever had!

• Congrats, Navy!!

And happy late birthday, sco. I get a cake about once every 5 years (my bday is 12/28), so I feel you on the cake disappointment.
