Budget Friendly Venues?

Ahhh... I'm having the hardest time finding budget friendly venues!! I'd love any of you ladies suggestions. We're looking for a ceremony and reception site all in one, that allows outside catering. There will be about 100 guests, and we would reallllyyyy love an inside venue!

The date is pretty much up in the air right now.. I want the 30th of October, but will settle for any Saturday evening in October! Any help is appreciated ladies!!
Thanks!!!

I was looking for a venue with the same criteria but I have about 200 guests and we chose Addison Event Center. With less guests, they can split the room in half for your ceremony and reception.

Are you set on a Saturday date?  We wound up chosing a Friday evening because there is (from what I've found) a huge price difference between Saturdays and either Friday or Sundays.

I second Addison Event Center.  They have their prices on their website and will perfectly accomadate 100 guests.

They allow outside catering for a price, but I think they do wonderful catering.

It really depends on where you want to get married.  McKinney has some really great budget friendly places.  I think Serlace is getting married at the Bingham House in McKinney.  There is also the Surrey House, Meyers Park, McKinney Performing Arts Center, the Cotton Mill in McKinney.

In Grapevine there is La Buena Vida - not sure if they can fit a 100 but you can look into it.

In Dallas there is Winfrey Point but you do have too book way ahead as they book up really fast. (I'm parial to this venue)

PP have already mentioned Addison Event Center.

    I hope this helps

We are getting married at the church in mansfield and the reception is at the Walnut Creek country club and their prices are really good!!! you can also get married there for an additional cost in a really cool pavallion (which was our backup choice to the church). note that any place you go pretty much besides alternate days being cheaper - the time of day on saturday is cheaper, we are doing an earlier time and saving a ton of money!!!

I chose BellTower in Fort Worth. The chapel is gorgous with wall to wall stained glass. Right next to it is the reception area. We are having 100 guests. It cost me $2500 for a Saturday evening. I am working with Wendy there. She has been awesome. She told me that they would be raising prices soon so go check it out. They allow outside vendors which is awesome.

Knowing your budget and location really helps with this we could probably give you a better list.

We are having our wedding at 809 at Vickery in Fort Worth Jane is the owner and is super nice and allows you to do pretty much anything. I will say that there outside isn't all that pretty (YET), its not hideous by no means but it needs some dressing up. It is a work in progress. Pricing starts at $600 and goes to $2200 depending on the day. We were on the higher end of that, but it includes chairs and tables and for a Saturday evening at 8 hours.

We're getting married at Northeast Wedding Chapel and it's the best looking place for the money, from what I researched.  www.northeastweddingchapel.com

Rental for Saturday afternoon wedding is $3400 after all taxes and fees are included.  There are no restructions on catering and you can bring in your own alcohol (no liquor, though).  An evening wedding would be about $500 more, I think.  At NEWC, your tables, chairs, linens are all included and you have access to their closet of centerpiece supplies (lots of vases and candles and colored table scarves) if you dont want to bring in your own.

Addison Event Center would be about the same price with food if you go through them with the $19.50 per head option, but my fiance and I didn't care for the look and feel of the chapel or the patterned carpet so we went with NEWC and stretched the budget another $800 or so.

    Good luck!

Cappella Court is where we are getting married. So far I have no complaints of the place..I know it gets mixed reviews on this board...as does Addison Event Center- I actually almost booked with AEC- If it wasn't for my date being filled.

Check out Cappella Court- it's pretty reasonably priced.

Goodness!! Thanks Ladies for the info! We're actually looking to spend about $2500 on Venue.. if not less if possible.  We already have an outside caterer that we would reallllyyy like to use, but if worse comes to worse, and it ends up being cheaper then we'll go with thhe venues caterer..

    annnyyhooww...
Apart from that.. Do any of you know about Venues like 809 at Vickery in Fort Worth? I personally think that it's a pretty unique setting, but Fort Worth is a drive from where i'm at.

    Thanks!!

I think you'll have more trouble because October is right around the corner and it's a popular wedding month.  The venues book up fast!  But here are some suggestions if you're looking for historic but contemporary:

    Dallas Arts Center (http://www.specialdayeventsinc.com/)
    The Filter Building (http://www.thefilterbuilding.com)
    The Apartment (http://www.theapartmentdallas.com/rental.html)
    Third Space (http://www.thirdspaceevent.com/)
    Hickory Street Annex (http://www.hickorystreetannex.com/)
Off the Grid (historic Dallas Power & Light Bldg) http://www.partyoffthegrid.com/

amber&Richard05 is getting married at 809 at Vickery.

Hickory Street Annex or 7 Senses might be worth looking at -- although I don't know much about their pricing or catering policies.

    ETA:  Amber's post is above:

I really love 809 at Vickery, and I'd have booked it if my guest list hadn't expanded to over 200 guests, which wouldn't all fit inside for a seated dinner. I've visited it twice, met both sisters that own it, and they're super nice. Next month they'll have an outdoor courtyard finished so there will be outdoor seating as well. I definitely recommend seeing it in person.

Fort Worth Community Arts Center is a really good budget-friendly venue too. Their front gallery books up fast (it was booked for my date in April 2011 already) but their back gallery is just as pretty, I thought! They let you bring everything in and there is plenty of parking.

I also looked in the Fort Worth stockyards because I thought they were less expensive - The Palace Room (has its own caterer but lets you BYOB) and Stockyards Station (has its own caterer and alcohol, but there were a variety of menus and price levels). These are a totally different look than 809 at Vickery or an art gallery - more rustic - but lots of fun.

This is going to sound weird, but the YWCA in Fort Worth is AMAZING... plus, all of the proceeds go directly to the YWCA.  You can bring your own alcohol and catering... and its a BEAUTIFUL building (its historic).  It holds up to 250 people (I think)... I have a friend that's getting married here and she LOVES IT!
