MP Cuisine + Cake... Help!

Hi everyone,

Just booked the cake from Leopold's and unfortunately, they do not provide any plates/napkins/forks in which to serve cake. Does anyone know if Masterpiece provides enough utensils and plates from their Gourmet Express service to carry over to the cake? I'm expecting around 40 people, but MP has already planned on enough plates, etc. for that amount.

I guess if they don't, I will have to bring that stuff with me or ship it early... ONE MORE THING! lol.

They did not provide me with cake size plates, and if I am remembering correctly there was enough utensils. I brought my own. You could always ask?

They said that they bring enough for "a few extras" but that was as specific of an answer as I could get.

I honestly bought a few packs from Target and called it a day. We didn't use all the plates I brought, but we did use all the extra forks I bought.

MP Cuisine catered our reception over Labor Day weekend and they did provide plates and utensils for the cake (even after we used a cake company that wasn't the one that Scott recommended).  We had 45 people.  I don't know if it made a differnece that we also used their bartending services as well.  My mom was the main person who coordinated with Scott.  She can be a little on the pushy side... LOL.  I would just ask again and make him tell you specifically yes or no. :)

We also picked up extra servingware from Vons.  We ended up with a TON left over, which we bundled up and took home, and now use for casual entertaining.

i don't know where you are having your reception, but we had ours at Planet Hollywood and they provided us utensils and plates for a very small charge.
