Hair flowers need to match bouquet?

So I'm having a beach wedding and I have chosen pink and orange plumeria as the flowers in my bouquet.  I have decided to wear flowers in my hair instead of a veil.  I'm having a hard time deciding what type of flowers to wear in my hair though!  It's hard finding plain, white, silk plumeria hair clips so I have been looking at Orchids and Lillies.   In your opinion, does the flower in my hair need to be the same type of flower in my bouquet?

Re: Hair flowers need to match bouquet?

  • I don't think they need to be exactly the same.  It would look okay if it was the same color as one of your flowers or a complimentary color.

  • Well, I'm planning on using a white flower in my hair so that it's not too much of a focal point.  I just can't decide what type of flower to use.  Would any tropical flower be okay?
  • I think so.  I especially like the idea of an orchid because I think of them as tropical, but I really think any tropical flower would work.

  • talk to your florist - they can provide your hair stylist with flowers to match your boquet - they'll know what's going to look good and last as well -

They may be able to give you other flowers that will nicely coordinate as well - they're a great source of info.
