Lurker starting to post! Questions about websites and signatures

Hi to my October twins!

I've been engaged since October 2011 but only just starting to get some checks done and therefore starting to spend more time with fellow knotties.

About me, I was married the first time back in 1993 so it sure is fun planning in the age of the internet.  Makes it easier too. I'm also in the 40+ group so I have a little bit of life experience that helps me not stress out so much even though the inlaws and stress in general still get to me. Wink

So, my first question is, I am seeing the planning bios and the married bios.  I've seen sites set up on mywedding dot com and also weebly...what are the differences?  Are these separate from the wedding websites being set up for the guests/family/friends to see?  And a silly question - is the married one just the one for photos and reviews afterwards?  This might seem silly but couldn't you just post that on the planning one?

Also, I see that everyone is posting photos of their wedding dress as their signature so I will definitely do that...do you change the theme every month?  I don't have any photos of me in my dress yet but I can find photos of the dress at least.  And now it's motivation to put that sucker on and get someone to take pics!

I think that's it for now...TIA for the explanations and patience

    First of all, welcome!

Yes, there are two different 'types' of wedding websites, so to speak. The bio sites are generally by brides for other brides, to share all the little details and things during/after the planning process and provide inspiration to one another. Married bios are pretty much the same, with more pictures, reviews, and info about how everything went. What's usually referred to as a wedding website is the site you give to your guests with registry info, hotel info, directions, etc. This usually has less detail about attire, flowers, DIY stuff and whatnot than the bios do.

Yes! At the end of the month, a poll post goes up and we vote on what the sig theme for next month will be. And we would all love to see your dress!
