Holy back cleavage!!

So, I had my first dress fitting the other day and my dress looks as beautiful as I remembered when I bought it.... with one (or should I say 2) flaw.... back boobs!!

My dress is a corset top.  The problem is not even so much the back fat coming out over the corset top, but rather the skin being squished together to form a wonderful cleavage in the middle.  My seamstress said that i have a naturally pretty strong dip in between the shoulder blades, so that's why it's happening.

I can't loosen up the corset too much or it won't stay up.

My goal is to lose another 5-10 lbs before the wedding (in 8 weeks), but that probably won't get rid of these back boobs.  Anyone have any other suggestions?

I was considering taping the skin apart if all else fails.  Help please!!

At my fitting, my seamstress showed my BM how to take her finger and run it along the edge of the dress between my back and the dress, and it flattens that all out.  It doesn't necessarily have anything to do with your weight--I am a petite size 4 and I still had to flatten out my back cleavage.  It's simply because the dress is so tight.

Hee, funny story, at our B&G shoot, my DH was the one helping me and when he saw it, he was like "Whoa, you have a back butt!"  I had to tell him what to do and it worked.
  • My seamstress told me the same thing as PP. She told me that after the dress is on and all zipped to pull all of that up to the front. Just kinda start in the back pushing it to the sides/front and pull your boobs up so they're all vavoom! haha.

She also said if its hot your skin will stick to the dress and have a tendency to do that, because you dress is being pulled together towards the back to be zipped, if that makes sense. I am also a very petitte 2/4. Its just how your skin moves!

  • Thank you so much for your feedback! I appreciate that .I was concerned that I would have to stop eating for the next few weeks :)

Well, I may do some back exercises, teach my MOH how to flatten out the back boobs and then have some duct tape on stand-by just in case :D

    Thanks again !
  • So funny that you brought this up because this is one of my concerns too, although I've just been calling mine my back crack! lol  I was seriously thinking of taping mine up too.  Every time I "fix" mine I move and it shows back up so I have no idea what to do.  I guess I'll just have the photographer photoshop it out and hope my hair will hide a good bit of it.  Thank goodness I have long hair that I'm wearing mostly down!  Sheesh
