Just wanted to let everyone know that I ended up booking the Carousel at Lighthouse for June 22, 2013! We were so torn between summer at the Carousel or winter at the New Haven Lawn Club or Union League Cafe, but after much, much, discussion, we finally chose the carousel. It seems like a million years away, which is really the only downside!

So far I've had very preliminary discussions with both David Alan Catering and Emily's Catering. Any carousel brides have any other catering suggestions?

Congratulations - it's a beautiful location! One of my BM's is on here sporadically, she is getting married there in October and I believe she is using Coastal Gourmet.

Congrats! How exciting. We booked with Emily's catering. One great thing about Rick at Emily's is he owns all of the plates, silverware, etc. That saved us about $1,000 compared to other caterers that have to rent those things. I forget if David Alan rents or not. A little fun fact, David Alan was Rick's first employee! So, they have some similarities and some differences. I would highly recommend meeting with Rick at Emily's and having him make you a meal. That sealed the deal for us! He worked with our budget and blew us away with the options... Like mini crocks of baked Mac and cheese to fit in with our gourmet BBQ menu!!!
