So FI and I are visiting a friends parents and we are sleeping in a double bed. Our bed is a king so it tight quarters this weekend. The question for you all is what size bed do you and FI have? If you don't live together yet, what size will you get when you move in together?

We have a queen. As soon as we have a house we're getting a king. We're both sprawlers and a queen just doesn't cut it.

FI and I have a queen. I prefer it that way because I'm closer to him than in a king. I like knowing he is there.

I'm another with a queen. Mostly, it works out well for us. But occasionally FI flails and does strange things in his sleep (tried to paperclip the pillow cases together once ), so I've had thoughts about upgrading to a king. My only real concern is that we're house-hunting right now and a lot of the houses we've seen don't have huge bedrooms that would make having a king sized bed terribly comfortable in the space.

We have a full and FI doesn't want to upgrade. I wouldn't mind a queen. We both hug the edges when we sleep so there's still plenty of room in the middle. I grew up with a twin so anything bigger than that is fine with me.

We have a King. When we first started dating, he had a queen and I had a king. I was way too used to having the king, and FI also wanted more space, so we were set on a king size when we purchased it for our house. I love our bed!

We have a queen and Fi really wants to upgrade to a king when we get a house. Combined we have lost almost 150 lbs since we started dating and there is PLENTY more room in the bed now, I'm content with the queen!

We have a King. When we first started dating, I had a queen and he had a full. When we bought our condo, a King was a must! We're both sprawlers too.

We have a queen. I would be content with it, but he's a total bed hog! We probably wouldn't be able to fit a king in our bedroom, so the queen is there to stay. Good thing I love him so much

We have a queen. Last night was definitely a night I really wished we had a king. I woke up twice to being just barely on the bed and FI completely sprawled out. The master bedroom is really big, but it's very rectangular. I don't know if we have enough width for a king.

We have a queen and it's great! We don't normally have space issues between the two of us...the only time we do is when our 60 pound dog decides he wants to cuddle in the middle of us.

When we moved into our current place, we upgraded from a full to a queen. With our dog, its just not enough. The dog takes up more room than anything. Once we find a house - then we will upgrade again. I registered all my bed linens as king for just the occasion!

I feel your pain, ladies with dogs! Our 90 lb lab loves to snuggle with us.

WE have a queen at his house here and a double back at my apt... He sleeps in one spot while I sprawl and move about... but we make it work out fine...

we are usually cuddled up together... unless of course it is hot as heck out!

We have a queen and will stay this size for a while at least. FI and I both sleep on the edges of the bed and neither of us can find each other when we sleep in a king! (like at hotels and such)

we have a queen and fi is a total bed hog... he steals the blankets too!!! between him and our 20lb dog i am usually curled up in the fetal position or falling off the bed!... he is 6'2 so i understand him taking up alot of space but the dog is only 20 lbs! she is so spoiled

We don't live together yet, but Fi has a king and I stay with him a lot. I really prefer sleeping by myself, so having a king is a must. It feels like no one else is in bed with me!

We have a queen with wrought iron headboard and foot board. FI is 6'4'' and his feet gt caught in the footboard all the time. As soon as we buy our house, we are buying ourselves a new KING size bedroom set. Poor FI.

We have a king.
FI had a twin at his house which idk how we slept on and i had a full then a queen at my parents and id never go back. I like my own space when im sleeping. Plus when we were buying bedroom furniture all my friends with kids said to get a king bc they eventually end up in bed with you and you'll wish you had the extra room!

When we first lived together we had a queen size bed. When we moved out of our first apartment we had planned on relocating a couple of states away so we sold all of our furniture. Stupid! We didn't move and ended up taking FI's bed from his parents house which is a full. My parents bought a new bed and asked if we wanted their old queen and FI said he couldnt sleep in my parents old bed! so we still have a full and FI doesn't want to get a queen until we move. Our bed is old and our cat has scratched up the box spring, it looks awful but it will have to suffice for a while longer.

Haha, Fi and I were just talking about this. We had to get some new sheets and the sheets we got are a little too big. We have a full size but we want to upgrade to a queen after we get married. I'm pretty sure all the sheets we registered for are in Queen size. We want to get dogs but I'm determined the dogs will not be sleeping in our bed.

We have a full currently. We are sleeping in one of the smaller bedrooms because the master is downstairs and I was freaking out about DD being upstairs alone. The full works out for me, but FI says that I push him out of the bed almost nightly.

We have a king, we definitely could never do anything smaller. We were going to get a California King but my parents have such issues with buying sheet sets for theirs that we went for a king. We also have a 97 pound puppy that sleeps with us, so we are still crammed. I love having my own side away from him.

BritRN - I miss sleeping in my own bed. I sleep SO much better.

We have a Queen. We had a TWIN that we and the dog slept on for a while! Fi is 6'4 and I don't know how we did it! We snuggled all up! We lived in a one room efficiancy building. FI wants to get a King when we get a house of our own. FI has restless legs and goes and gets in the guest bed when his legs hurt. He stretches out and then he feels better. Sometimes its me, him, my rat terrier and the 2 cats in the bed! We definately need an upgrade!
