DJ Tax

Hello Knotties,
Has anyone else had a problem with a DJ trying to charge them tax? Ours is trying to and as far as I understand they are not supposed to. Now I don't know what to do. He is supposed to be a really good DJ, but now I'm not sure I can trust him!

I'm pretty sure we have to or already had to pay sales tax to all of our vendors.

PPs are correct. Your vendors are required to charge tax for their services.

Thanks everyone! Sounds like I was misinformed by a prior DJ that we looked at. We didn't end up going with them for a different reason, sounds like that was a good thing!

maybe the ohter DJ had his tax already included on his/her package.

i also paid tax. I live in Jersey but all of my vendors are charging me CT tax

DJ services aren't taxable in CT, so you are right that they should not be charging sales tax. Most other wedding vendor services are, but not all services are taxable in CT.
