  • Did you try on any wedding dresses that were over your budget?Nope, I don't even do that with regular clothes. If it's more than what I want to pay, I leave it on the rack and sigh.
What are/were your favors? We did sandalwood fans because we were doing a half chinese, half jewish wedding. However, looking back, I now wish that we did edible favors, fortune cookies to be exact.
Have you ever used a diet program? DId it work? I drank some slimfast but I didn't really lose any weight. I am also lactose intolerant, so the stuff just made my stomach hurt.

  • Did you try on any wedding dresses that were over your budget?  DB kept forcing dresses on me that were over $1,000 and showed me nothing in my budget.  My goal was $300 but I was willing to go as high as $700.  My dress (not from DB) wound up being about $700.
What are/were your favors?  Didn't do them.  Not worth the money to us and our guests didn't seem to miss them.
Have you ever used a diet program? DId it work?  I used SlimQuick and I have to say it does give you a boost in addition to diet and exercise.

  • Did you try on any wedding dresses that were over your budget?
No, because then if I loved one I would just be disappointed when I couldn't buy it.

    What are/were your favors?
Bag of lemonheads, cherryheads, and grapeheads

Have you ever used a diet program? DId it work?
I am a steadfast weight watchers users.  So far I've lost 20 pounds.
  • Did you try on any wedding dresses that were over your budget?
    - i only tried on one dress. i knew exactly what i wanted. and, it fit perfectly.
    What are/were your favors?
-part of the wedding package at my venue includes custom etched wine glasses as favors
Have you ever used a diet program? DId it work?
-once, i counted calories. and yes, it works very well.
  • Did you try on any wedding dresses that were over your budget?  I honestly don't know the dresses that I tried on cost.  I was budgeted for $600, and the one I chose came to $497 with tax, so I was happy.

What are/were your favors?  I'm trying to find appropriate to-go boxes for the leftovers, since I think we're going to have a lot and people might want to take some home.  No other favors, though.

Have you ever used a diet program? DId it work?  I've never dieted, I've been blessed with a hyperactive metabolism and cursed with an inability to watch what I eat.  I did switch from Pop-Tarts to Special K bars for breakfast, though.

This is a belated married bio, with no reviews yet because I'm lazy.

Sometimes I feel like people think that brides are delicate little flower princesses who get all dressed up and pretty for one special moment of their dreams, when really they're just normal people who just happen to be getting married. Things shouldn't have to be sugar-coated for grown-ass women. -mstar284
  • Did you try on any wedding dresses that were over your budget? Yes, I tried on a $9K Judd Waddell and a $13K Vera Wang. My mom made us several appointments in Atlanta and 1 shop didn't carry anything under $7K (she didn't know). Once I realized it, I tried things on just for fun since we were already there and I figured when again will I ever have on an $13K dress. I wasn't worried I'd fall in love with one of them because I had a vision in my mind and they didn't fit that vision. They were gorgeous though.

What are/were your favors? Our favors are jar candles

Have you ever used a diet program? DId it work? I have used WW in the past and it worked. Now i just stick to eating relatively healthy and in moderation and exercise 5 days per week. It works, I lost 40lbs

  • Did you try on any wedding dresses that were over your budget?
Yes, originally I let them show me stuff with a higher sticker price, thinking you could get a discount.  I was wrong for Maggie's dresses, no discounts!  So originally I fell in love with a dress that was too much, but I decided it wasn't worth even the $200 over budget for a dress I wear once.  So I kept looking (for what felt like forever!), but I'm glad I did because I found the perfect dress!  Maggie Sotterro Coco.

    What are/were your favors?
Not sure yet, but they will be edible.  Maybe chocolate truffles.

Have you ever used a diet program? DId it work?
Not really, I was always pretty thin without worrying about it until my late 20s.  But now I want to lose a few pounds so I need to work on portion control and maybe add some exercise.
  • Did you try on any wedding dresses that were over your budget? Nope. My budget was $2000, and although there are more expensive dresses in Chile, I didn't even see any...I don't know of any stores that sell the big name US designers that cost 5 figures.

What are/were your favors? Not doing them. They're not common here, so I figure it would just be a waste of money.

Have you ever used a diet program? DId it work? Nope, I've played sports since high school and have good genes, luckily.
  • Did you try on any wedding dresses that were over your budget?
Probably, I didn't ask. I told them my budget, so I don't think anything was suggested that wasn't there. I was pleasantly surprised that my gown ended up right on budget.
    What are/were your favors?
    Nada

Have you ever used a diet program? DId it work?
    Constantly.
I have used slimfast, which worked in college for about 6months but was hard to maintain once i started running  a lot because I needed more protein to recover properly.

The best i have ever encountered was South Beach, because you can live with it forever and not feel deprived. It was a great way to look at food and had lots of yummy recipes

I also did Body for Life for a while and loved it, but then triathlon season started and it messed with my eating and lifting schedule, so I stopped.

I still use some of the principles from both of them, and starting today, no more sugar!

Oh, and I have a friend who lost over 100lbs on WeightWatchers and they put her on a poster somewhere.

  • Did you try on any wedding dresses that were over your budget?  I actually don't know how much any of the dresses I've tried on have cost.  I've only gone to try on dresses once (just for fun really since I'm still so far out) and the experience was terrible.  They kept me waiting for half an hour just to get into a changeroom and then they didn't have a consultant available for me, so it was my sister helping me in and out of dresses.  Very disappointing.  And since the prices weren't on the dresses, I have no idea how much any of them cost.  I didn't fall in love though.

What are/were your favors?  We haven't planned that yet.  I'm sure they will be edible though, and I want to do a colouring/activity book for the kids.

Have you ever used a diet program? DId it work?  The only diet I've ever been on is the "break up" diet.  Basically, I get nauseous and can't eat when I'm really upset, so following my last major break up I dropped like 15 lbs.  I like to tease FI that if I start to get plump, I'm going to have to leave him.  He knows I'm kidding though. :)

  • I'm a day late: I gave up Knotting at work for Lent, and then we had company last night. But anyway:

Did you try on any wedding dresses that were over your budget?
I didn't really have a budget for a dress ... but I wound up picking the 4th (and last) dress I tried on ... the  day my mom and I went "shopping" it was actually just to be for fun, we weren't expecting to actually find the dress that day. It was more like "Ok, I'll try on everything in the store, we'll get this out of our system, and then we'll go shop someplace else because we can't afford a 'real' store" (Which was David's, little did we know they were budget-friendly, lol)

What are/were your favors? Jelly Belly Beans in Cappucino and Toasted Marshmellow (Eat the 2 together sometime, it's amazing!). They were a hit, so no regrets.

Have you ever used a diet program? DId it work? I "invented" a diet last summer: I ate whatever I wanted for breakfast and dinner (Just kept dinner in smaller portions), and then for lunch and snacks I had those V8 Fusions (The ones where it's a fully serving of fruit and veggies) ... to be honest, I have no idea how "healthy" this was, but I lost 10 lbs in like 6 weeks.
