@Michellep: That is one of my favorite dresses that I have seen in magazines and on-line. I love it! I def want to try it on when I go shopping!

We are wedding dress buddies!!! My mom said the same exact thing. She wants me to look around some more because it was only my first day of wedding dress shopping. She did like it though and it was her favorite too. I can't stop thinking about that dress and the more I think about it the more I can't wait to put it on again! My consultant told me I was actually shopping at the right time because it can take 6 to 8 months to get the dress here and on top of that we have to do alterations. I too am going to look around and see if I can find that dress cheaper anywhere else.

Nurse your style is very similar to mine. I was in love with a style for the last couple years, I could not find it though so i was going to settle for something extremely similar, went dress shopping on a whim last week when my MOH came down for the first time since our engagement and wanted to go ( i was going to wait till oct)

At the dress shop they did not have a sample of the one i wanted but one very similar, we had excluded it in our selection (picked online) because it did not have a corset back and i thought being bigger that i had to have a corset back in case losing/gaining 5 pounds but this dress fit me like a glove, if i wanted red i could have got the sample with no alterations at all and was very similar to my first selection. I walked away and went back in the next morning, i did not want it to get away and i do not change my mind, if i am determined that is it, paid my 50% and ordered it

I already have my dress too! I decided to go to the salon at the end of february since my parents were moving to AZ a month later (I obviously wanted my mom to share in the experience!). Ended up finding the perfect dress on our first visit

. I don't know if I would have looked as early if I hadn't had the parents moving situation, but nevertheless I am SO excited to have my dress now!! It's nice to know that the big things are getting taken care of early

After posting yesterday about purchasing in January and the dress coming in may...I got a call this morning that it came in today!!!! I can't wait to get out of my internship and go get it!!

I found "the one" but havent bought it. It is actually part of the Fall 2011 collection so it isnt in stores yet. Problem is that is is $6,000!!!!!!!!!!

I havent even seen anything similar to it either. Suggestions welcome since I cannot even think

of spending that much on a dress

It's 4409 - Sunset Boulevard by Reem Acra. If anyone find a knock off or something similar I will LOVE you forever. It isnt a traditional dress so it has been hard finding anything that even resembles it

thanks sprtychick! That's exactly how I feel too, and if I can pull it off, the atmosphere will be 'romantic' too. When I was looking through dresses I found a lot that I liked, but they all had a 'but.' "I like it, but not this part." This dress was everything I wanted.

I tried on about 14-15 dresses at 2 places. The only 1 I keep thinking about is the first one I tried on. I am going to wait until after the Filine's Running of the Brides in columbus May 20 before I think about buying. (I'm a huge bargain hunter) If I don't find anything I like, I'll probably go back for the first one. Or a least try it on again before doing more shopping.
What really bugs me is that I can't find any pictures of it! the salon won't tell u the designer until you buy it. I looked thru the entire catalog for each designer that I know they carry, and I can't find it! I'm only going off of memory, but i know my mom and I both liked it the most that day.
