</div><div>It's an exciting time, isn't it? Knowing you've met that person you want to spend your life with, and that he feels the same is just SO wonderful. Congratulations! :)</div><div>
</div><div>Where in Indiana are you? Is that where you grew up? Tell us more about yourself.</div><div>
</div><div>And, of course, I have to reiterate what Marley and Audgie have said. I know how excited you are to get married, but know that there is so much more to marriage than the wedding day, and that there are a variety of reasons most of us would encourage you to hold off on planning until you are actually engaged. Please read the thread linked above, and come back and share your thoughts!</div><div>
</div><div>Hi and welcome!</div><div>

OP - Marley's right. You don't need a RING to be engaged. But you specifically said you aren't engaged, so I would advise to stop planning. Enjoy this stage of your relationship and begin planning after you consider yourself engaged.
To be clear, a mutual agreement that you are engaged is not the same thing as both knowing that you want to get married to each other one day.
FOOTSTOMP!
[QUOTE]I don't mean to be rude. I'm pretty new here so I may need to be pointed in the right direction. But what is the point of having a "Not Engaged Yet" message board on a Wedding Website if it's so frowned upon to plan for a wedding before being engaged? I always assumed if a couple were planning a wedding together, they were understood to be engaged whether it was "official" yet or not.

<div>Hey, having ideas and looking at websites, thats fine. But booking, calling, ect.. not okay. </div><div>
</div><div>Welcome OP though! How do you feel about twilight?</div>

I signed up for TK, because it was required reading for a wedding planning class I was taking, and I figured it would be helpful for an engagement party I was hired to work on. NEY stuck out to me on the boards, because I figured it was a place other unengaged people (bridesmaids, other event planners, siblings, etc) were hanging out at, possibly discussing non-wedding related things. Most of the time that's exactly what this board seems to be.
If a couple has not made an agreement to get married and is just talking about their hypothetical wedding, they are not engaged and should not be planning.
If your BF says to you, "I want to marry you someday," and you get overly excited, go BSC, and start planning your pretty princess day...THAT'S WHAT WE'RE HERE FOR...to put you in check.
SOOO...any questions?

Ha! Yes, I can totally agree with this. I get it now, so thanks for clarifying.
I wasn't on the same wave-length. Brain fart! I guess I asked that because I assumed OP meant planning as in just getting ideas together, but maybe not neccesarily booking venues and whatnot.
No further questions, your honor! :P
